wbinfo -i WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND on samba 4.2.2
Hi, We are planning an update from Samba 3.x to 4.2.2 and installed Samba 4.2.2 on a test VM (samba-test). samba-test should be a basic AD member like in this example: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_a_Samba_AD_Member_Server#Set_up_a_basic_Member_Server_smb.conf With both our old config and a new one created analog to

domain member idmap wbinfo WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND
Hi, I've done a classic upgrade to from samba 3.6.23 to samba 4.6.5 bringing across all the user accounts. The samba 3.6.23 we set up with smbldap as an NT Domain with OpenLDAP. After a lot of effort the classic upgrade worked well but now I'm a bit stuck with idmapping. The new AD DC is running 4.6.5 on CentOS7 and I can connect using ADUC. I set up a separate AD DM on a another CentOS7

samba4 wbinfo failed to call wbcLookupName: WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND.
Hello. I have installed sernet-samba4 on CentOS 6.7 and provisioned a domain "VERDERA.BIZ" and "VERDERA" as workgroup, to which I can add a Windows 7 client (tried two times both worked fine). My problem comes with users/groups administration, I cannot add neither not even see info on them, look at this: [root at dc1 ~]# wbinfo -u [root at dc1 ~]# wbinfo -g [root at dc1

wbinfo -u does not listed trusted users, wbinfo -n works
Running a mix of samba versions (3.6.25 and 4.5.1) in two domains- one "classic" (with samba domain controllers) and one AD (with windows domain controllers.) The eventual goal is to drop the classic domain in favor of the AD domain. Also trying to move from samba 3.x to 4.x since Samba 3 is EOL'd. the "wbinfo -u" command will list users in the servers domain

Created a new thread because I screwed up and top-posted. So I am still stuck. For reference here is the smb.conf on the member server: root at florence:~# more /etc/samba/smb.conf [global] netbios name = FLORENCE security = ADS workgroup = IOL realm = IOL.SEAMANPAPER.COM <http://iol.seamanpaper.com/> log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log log level

Gluster text file configuration information?
Where can I find documentation about manual configuration of Gluster peers/volumes? All documentation seems to be about the gluster CLI. I would prefer manual configuration to facilitate automation via scripts (e.g. Puppet/Chef). I also read in this list that it is possible to configure Raid10 via text files... I would also like to experiment with this setup. Any related documents on how to do

wbinfo -u -g work, wbinfo -i and getent fail
Hi all, I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 samba 4.1.6 packages, attempting to set up a server for file shares AD clients can use. My previous setup was a simple AD join with a user map file (1 to 1 AD to unix user) that i've been migrating for approximately 7 years, and with the last 2003 AD server removed from the network it stopped working (2008 R2 DC's now). After approximately 2 weeks of

Samba 4 on Production
We're involved in a project that the requirements could be satisfied with both samba3 and 4. Anyway I am testing what can be done with Samba4 and after following the tutorial published in the official wiki, I was able to create my test domain, and join WinXP and Win7 machines to it without a problem. I still need to test the GPO functionality, and some other stuff, but before continuing with

Bibtex database design
I am working a Bibtex database for my school using Rails and I need some idea on how to manage the bibtex types. I crated an Author and Publications model and put has_and_belongs_to_many relationship between them. The user model basically is like this: class User < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :publications end The Publication model has all the Bibtex fields
