Problems with 2 DCs.
Hello, I've set up 2 DCs. The first as been set up using the command: samba-tool domain provision ? The second, using the command: samba-tool domain join <realm> DC? As far as command return status say the commands went well. Using only the first DC, I can add windows client to the domain, I can manage users, everything seems to be ok. When adding the second DC, users database is

Searching samba ldap without authentication
Hello, I'm writing a set of python scripts that need to consult samba ldap database without authentication. I've set up 2 machines, the first as PDC, the second as BDC. I run my scripts on both and while they run fine on the PDC they end with error on the BDC. Here is the minimal example that behave this way: import ldap LDAP_URI =

Synchronization problems between Win2k8R2 and samba

doveadm sync usage ; root INBOX unsynced
Hi, I am trying to import a mail IMAP account using doveadm. Following https://serverfault.com/questions/605342/migrating-from-any-imap-pop3-server-to-dovecot I did it with: doveadm -D -v \ -o imapc_host=mail.oldserver.tld \ -o imapc_user=contact at domain.org \ -o imapc_password=xxxxxxx \ -o imapc_features=rfc822.size \ -o imapc_ssl=starttls \ -o

Samba 3.2.4 and alternate data streams
Hello, I just upgraded to 3.2.4, and today I observed in one of my share that some of the file where being kind of duplicated with a trailing ":Zone.Identifier:$DATA" at the end of filename. I think this has to do with alternate data streams, but the point is the share runs out of an XFS filesystem which is supposed to support the xattr. Why are these files created, and is there any

Rails in Dr. Dobbs Journal ?
Hi, I''ve read that Dr. Dobbs Journal''s last issue has a cover article about Rails titled "Ruby On Rails - Java''s Successor?". Can''t find anything about it in http://www.ddj.com Does someone have the paper edition and can confirm that, and tell how the article looks like, and so on. Thanks, -- Jean-Fran?ois. -- ? la renverse.

BlindDown doesn''t work anymore ?
Hi all ! Bad day for me. Customer calls, and says he can''t add phones and addresses to his contacts. A bit of looking around confirms the fact. I track HEAD for scriptaculous, because I need in place editor. So, a binary search in the scriptaculous repository revealed that r2137 works, and that r2138 and subsequent don''t. I also tried HEAD (r2444), to no avail. This is
