Samba 4 Slow Performance
Dear all, After using samba 3 for two years, I have just spent totally one week finishing setting up a samba 4 file system in my working school. There are about 200 computers, 80+ staff, 1000 students and 10 printers. The AD was properly setup, mandatory profile and one GPO policy (which is printer download trust) is effective for all users. Logon script is for mapping four shares and 10

GLMM, ML, PQL, lmer
Dear R community, I have two questions regarding fitting GLMM using maximum likelihood method. The first one arises from trying repeat an analysis in the Breslow and Clayton 1993 JASA paper. Model 3 of the epileptic dataset has two random effects, one subject specific, and one observation specific. Thus if we count random effects, there are more parameters than observations. When I try to run the

For example, library(Cairo) Cairo(file='cairo_created', type='pdf', dpi=100) plot(1:10) dev.off() This produces the following attached 'cairo_created.pdf' graph. Notice how the text is italicized. The same code but using pdf() as the graphics
