I've got a Brother HL-L2360D series printer connected to Centos 7. CUPS lists it as Generic PCL6/PCL Printer - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.9 . When I tell it to print a pdf file, it prints at most the first page. After powering the thing off and turning it on again, it printed page 3 of pages 3-6 . On trying it again, the thing claimed it was receiving data and printed page 3 of pages 3-6 again.

HI! I've noticed that every time I install Samba 4, I need to create a /usr/local/samba/var/spool directory and give it 777 permissions. If I don't do that, I can't share the printers with my windoze machines. Is this by design? Should this be put into the how-to? Thanks -jimc

Hi, we need a solution for running a tiff printer driver within wine which creates tiff files from a word document, for example. Only printing through cups and/or lpr to a postscript file is doing now as known, but this is much overhead for the application we want to run. Hello! Where is info about printer drivers stored? I mean that driver is installed for this printer? I played with 2.2.0 configuration- remake srpm with different options and after rpm installation I needed to install printers again and again- files are in place, but NT4 said that NO DRIVER :( btw, sometimes I get error that alternate driver can't be installed when installed drivers for win9x

I'm stuck. I have Samba running on my Red Hat 7.2 Linux box. I can mount by remote dirctory on the Linux box via Samba. But I can't print to the Linux printer. I have a Linux printer installed and I can print to it using lpr. I have a printer configured in Samba and can see that from the Win98SE box. I've clicked on the Samba printer name and configured a Win98 printer.
