Replication and KCC problems on upgrade
Hello all- I am trying to upgrade a old domain to a newer version. The old DCs are a custom compiled version of Samba, so instead of upgrading the DCs in place, the plan is to upgrade by joining new DCs to the domain, replicating data and then shutting down the old ones after transferring the FSMO roles. I had the new DC (dc3, version 4.9.4-12) replicating to the other DCs (dc0, versions

Hi All, On my two-DC setup (dc00 and dc01 - Used to be a 4-Dc setup but 02 and 03 are gone), I've noticed the following errors which I am unable to fix.. Any hints? * Basic dbcheck is clean. [root at dc00 ~]# samba-tool dbcheck Checking 327 objects Checked 327 objects (0 errors) * Cross-NCS shows two errors related to a de-comissionned DC (dc02) and cannot auto-fix this.. How do I fix

Whenever I run samba-tool drs replicate --fix --yes command on the DC it shows the below errors which cannot be fixed: Failed to remove deleted DN attribute fromServer : (65, "objectclass_attrs: at

4.4.0rc2 demote and --remove-other-dead-server
Hi all, We were trying the new --remove-other-dead-server coming with the 4.4.0rc. The domain is a brand new one with several DC added and two Windows clients, no user yet. Here is the smb.conf: [global] workgroup = SAMBA realm = SAMBADOMAIN.TLD netbios name = DC200 server role = active directory domain controller server services = -dns

Ive recently inherited an old samba installation which was originally migrated from a windows 2003 server. It was running samba 4.2.13 so i upgraded to 4.6.4. hi, I have this DC in aws to fulfill the authentication need of our moodle. # samba -V Version 4.17.7-Debian DNS with SAMBA_INTERNAL The replication of the users and groups happens correctly. Some errors in running samba_dnsupdate, but it is ok anyway. When I ran the command samba-tool dbcheck, I got the return below. # samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs --reset-well-known-acls --fix --yes
