After Windows login black screen with mouse cursor
In addition to what I have written I should say that I enabled SSSD on
the DCs this week. Possibly this is the reason for this and sssd causes
winbind problems on a DC?
I will disable it to test.

And this can cause such behaviour?

Found it! Folder redirection of Desktop worked so far. But now it got confused for some Rea's n I don't know.
Switched folder redirection back to local profile and it works again!
Should I add this to the wiki?

No, SSSD is only used for local authentication on the machine. Samba 4 as
an AD DC is only going to be serving information from it's own LDAP
database.
BTW, I use SSSD on my domain controllers with no issues.

After Windows login black screen with mouse cursor
It's becoming really weird. I moved a client to a OU with no GPOs at all.
"Please wait" lasts relatively long. "Welcome" too followed by black screen with mouse cursor only. No roaming profiles, no folder redirection.
Event logs seem to offer nothing.

I did some more tests. I got the functionality back after switching the client to OU computer and doing a restart.
It seems to depend on folder redirection.

Centos 6.2 x64 after GRUB menu, black screen with blinking cursor
Dear CentOS users,
I installed CentOS 6.2 x64 in a Sun Fire X4450 machine, it has 4 disks and
I configured them to be a single volume (no RAID). The installer sees the
volume perfectly, its 570Gb. I created two ext3 partitions, /dev/sda1 and
/dev/sda2. In the logs I see they are formated correctly. All the files are
installed.
Then when I reboot, I get to the GRUB menu. Choose the first and only

centos 6.2_x86_64, get black screen with blinking cursor after select item from GRUM menu.
Hi, all:
I'm using centos 6.2-x86_64, the built-in kernel version is 2.6.32-220.el6.x86_64.
Now I compiled kernel of version of linux-2.6.32-220.23.1.el6.x86_64, which get from kernel-2.6.32-220.23.1.el6.src.rpm.
I have put vmlinuz and initramfs into /boot directory, as follow:
[kdev at panda boot]$ ll /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-* ./initramfs-2.6.32-*

Mouse cursor rotated on all screens when rotating a single screen.
I have two monitors, one landscape and the other portrait. When I rotate the
portrait monitor using xrandr (or the xorg.conf option) the mouse cursor on
the landscape monitor is also rotated and the "click point" is no longer
below the cursor (this makes the mouse practically unusable). The cursor is
correct on the rotated monitor. Setting NoAccel "False" and HWCursor

mouse cursor won't leave screen center
Hi,
I'm trying to play Frontier First Encounters' Windows port jjffe using wine,
since that's the only version of the game that actually has a proper
framerate under X (using the dos version under dosbox I get about 2fps during
the intro sequence, while jjffe under wine looks perfect.)
However, the mouse stays more or less put in the center of the screen. When I
move it around,

Wine is not doing a clean --purge
Hi guys.
Just figured it again. (running 1.3.10)
Wine is leaving all its entires in ~/.local/share/applications
when doing an apt-get remove --purge.
That's giving me dead bodies in the main menu. Would be nice to
get that fixed. The desktop corpses I might accept. ;)
Cheers

samba-tool time
Hi Tim,
This is just wild speculation: do You have different versions of Samba
(or smbclient) on the corresponding machines? I run the same on all of
my machines. I think that Kerberos is supposed to be OK. Also I hear
of possible issues with very new versions of SSSD with Samba 4.2.0rcx
due to a winbind(d) conflict.
But the sad truth is, that I lack the competence to be really helpful.

Re: Change/Hide Mouse cursor in Wine app
Is there a way to change the default mouse pointer theme in a wine app ? No, Wine always uses it's own pointer icon(s). The code that deals with user set cursors is not implemented (SPI_SETCURSORS). aleroot wrote: Is there a way to hide the mouse cursor in a wine app ? Not by the user. Applications have to do it.
