4.1.7 Server Side Copies & Disk Permissions
As soon as I add the declaration for server side copies I hit problems with disk permissions.
Same as in 4.1.6 and always the same so I will not bother to add a log.
If you follow http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_a_home_share
But have vfs objects = btrfs declared all is different.
You can add users and groups but the default Everyone, CREATOR GROUP and a Unknown you just can't

getting permissions denied on home folders
I have a fresh Debian based Samba server and Member server setup.
I have configured profiles and they appear to be saving properly to the
member server.
When I attempt to adjust file permissions (as instructed by the
Sambawiki page "Samba & Windows Profiles") I am getting "Access Denied"
complaints. These I believe (I could be wrong) relate to the file

Secondary groups not recognized by Samba
I am running Samba 4.1.12 with SSSD 1.12.2 on RHEL 7.1. I have joined my
system to a Win 2008r2 domain. I have added the necessary unix attributes
to all relevant users and groups. When I add a domain group to a
directory, either as the primary group or as an ACL, I can access the share
locally from the server, but cannot access the share from a Windows system
via the SMB share. If I change

use linux user account information on samba
Dear list,
I am having real trouble using the linux authentication system with samba. I
have a configured kerberos and ldap server and authenticate in linux using
nslcd. nfs4 works fine in the linux world. Unfortunately, I am forced :( to have
some windows machines which are supposed to connect to linux fileservers. If I
understand correctly, I can use sssd on the samba ad domain controller to

I have a Samba 4.1.4 AD server and am trying to set up a file server as
a member of the domain.
Currently I'm using Samba 3.6.9 from the CentOS repository.
I've followed this wiki:

but when I try to make changes in the Security tab of Computer
