What problems did you had to get it running? I find it simple to setup. And there's documentation about it in the Wiki, too. For

What kind of problems can you have? I did it with these lines: idmap config *

ah, ok, yes that was it.. ;-) so for my understanding. we use AD backend if we also want to use the RFC2307 extention (with winbind and schema_mode rfc2307) and we can use RID if we want the windows user id with winbind. and for RID we can use the server templete settings and for AD can can set this per user seen the the Unix Attibutes tab in the windows tool correct? (I still done

It simply works! _My_ personal disadvantage with idmap_rid is, that you have to define stuff like the shell on a per server and not on a per user base. You can decite if _all_ users should have /bin/bash or alle /bin/false. RFC2307 allows you to centralized set

rda variance partioning in vegan problems
This is not a request for coding help so there is no reproducible code, rather I am trying to figure out if anyone had had a similar experience. My question is related to partitioning the variance in rda (vegan) results for multiple groups of variables. I have a high dimensional dataset with 79 explanatory variables and 9 response variables. Within those 79 explanatory variables there are ~8

Total inertia in package Vegan?
Dear all at the R-project help list. I have run into a problem when it comes to getting values for "total inertia" and "R-squared" for my DCA using "decorana" in the package "vegan". I have tried the "goodness" function, but the reply indicates that it does not work with "decorana" class objects. In Canoco one gets the Total inertia in

Vegan(ordistep) error: Error in if (aod[1, 5] <= Pin) { : missing value where TRUE/FALSE needed
I am getting the following erro rmessage in ordistep. I have a number of similarly structured datasets using ordistep in a loop, and the message only occurs for some of the datasets. I cannot include a reproducible sample - the specific datasets where this is occur ing are fairly large and there are several pcnm's in the rhs of the formula. thanks for any pointers that may allow me to

Permissions issue on domain member server (samba as an appliance)
These are my notes. I?d rather use xattr and configure shares from windows. http://samba.bigbird.es/doku.php?id=samba:configuring-shares Also, have you assigned privileges ? http://samba.bigbird.es/doku.php?id=samba:server-privileges Using autorid as the idmap backend has some limitations. I recommend using rid. Regards. On 27 Oct 2023 at 20:08 +0100, Greg Dickie via samba <samba at

Permissions issue on domain member server (samba as an appliance)
Hi, We have a rat's nest of windows servers all sharing little bits of storage which I'm trying to consolidate on one biggish linux server. I've install a fresh Ubuntu 22.04 and samba 4.15 that comes standard. I've also joined the domain using autorid as the backend and users are getting UID and GIDs correctly as evidenced by wbinfo -i USER and id USER. I've also mapped a
