samba+winbindd problem joining Ubuntu 20+ to windows 2000 domain
Hi, people. How are you?. I hope you are very well
Could you help us, please?. We've a problem with Ubuntu+samba+winbindd
joining an old Windows 2000 Active Directory domain (we are testing
migrate our domain to SAMBA4 but, for now, we must continue using the
current domain).
We have no problems joining Ubuntu 18 and, in the past, we've joined
Ubuntu 20 PCs. It seems to be some

hp-ux samba windows client fails to delete directory
Hi Team,
I am able to re-produce the same behavior with samba 4.10.0 on Ubuntu 1904 as it was on hp-ux with samba 4.9.0.
Scenario:-
1. Configure samba as PDC and start smbd and nmbd daemons.
2. Map samba share on 2 Windows PC#1 and PC#2 with same credentials created by pdbedit -a command
3. Windows PC#1 creates two directories, \FOLDER_A\FOLDER_B in the Samba share

Hi All,
I am seeing issues printing to a text file. I am using Samba Version
4.12.3 and CUPS 2.3.3. I have written a simple BASH backend for CUPS
to simply copy the RAW contents and save it as a file. I do not
believe this is an issue with CUPS simply because I can print from a
Windows 7 Terminal doing something such as:
NET USE LPT1: \\10.111.11.130\RAWCAPTURE
DIR C:\ > LPT1

Hi Rowland,
thanks for your reply.

I have tried and set the "cache directory" option but still gencache.tdb
(and all other files that were moved) left within the /run/samba (lock
directory).
