Dynamic DNS updates by the AD member
Hi,
I'm trying to get my Linux VMs to join the Microsoft AD domian.
Although I was able to successfully join the domain and the DNS record was
created successfully, I noticed that the DNS records were not updated when
the IP address for the Linux member VM changed eventually. In case of a
Windows member VM, it looks like the DNS record does get updated.

user's home shares doesn't work with Samba 4.8.3
Hello!
I just upgraded Samba 4.8.2 to 4.8.3 on Arch Linux and user's home shares
doesn't work anymore.
Downgrading back to 4.8.2 they work again.
On samba server
smb.conf
...
[homes]
comment = Lietotāju Mapes
browseable = no
writable = yes
valid users = @Lietotāji
invalid users = Guest, @Guests
...
$ id

Pb using printer share with Vista
Hi,
On a Debian Lenny
I try to make working samba 3.4.3-1 backports printer drivers auto install for Vista and of course it doesn't work.
It start install the driver on the server, but stop and tell "_spoolss_AddPrinterDriverEx: level 8 not yet implemented"
Someone can help me?

FreeBSD + Samba41 problems

I have one server with 5 workstations connect on this samba41, the AD is ok, but,
sometimes i need to kill smbd process, this process consume 100% of CPU,

Using Rtools with gcc 4.8.3
I started working on some R bindings for mongo-c-driver [1]. The C
library compiles fine on Ubuntu Trusty (gcc 4.8.2) and osx (clang),
however on my windows machine (gcc 4.6.3 from Rtools 3.1) it fails
with: 'INIT_ONCE_STATIC_INIT' undeclared. Google suggests that this
might be a problem in older versions of mingw-w64. So I grabbed a copy
of mingw-w64 version 4.8.3 and indeed, here the

I'm sure it's a false positive but figured I post any way. My
weekly full scan of my servers reported the following results.
