If its an AD-DC.
The change to samba AD DC with systemd is:
systemctl stop smbd nmbd winbind samba
systemctl disable smbd nmbd winbind samba
systemctl mask smbd nmbd winbind samba
systemctl unmask samba-ad-dc
systemctl enable samba-ad-dc
systemctl start samba-ad-dc
You should not start nmbd smbd winbind for the AD-DC, the

vfs objects
If you have bash-completion-extras (or the equivalent for your bistro) installed, you should be able to type ?man vfs? and hit tab completion to see your list of available vfs objects.

2nd try: Lots of RPC-related compile errors (conflicting types, too many arguments, ...) trying to update Samba from 3.5 to 4.6
Hello again, Samba experts,
sorry for being such a pain in your necks, but I really need to get a
recent Samba version to compile, and it looks like I definitely need
your help with this.
In the meantime, I have found that the huge number of "conflicting
types" errors for rpc_*_init(...) is due to the fact that the Samba
4.6.4 codebase seems to have for all RPC modules:
