Installing Asterisk from repository works great without the need to install Dahdi on Host Node of Proxmox - But trying to install from source fails. Why?
Hi everyone, I just lunched a CentOS VM in Proxmox and used the Digium repository to install Asterisk using "yum install asterisk16"...and it works great. Runs and it seems to have installed ztdummy as well without the need to touch the host node. But when I try to compile Dahdi from source on the same VM to install Asterisk from source I get this: #@root/usr/src/dahdi/: *make all*

Check out Proxmox VE... can CentOS improve on this?
Greetings, I'm a big OpenVZ fanboy. I've sent a few emails on this list that proves that... and I'm sure I've annoyed some people... but be that as it may... Proxmox to libvirt conversion?
Hello all. I'm wondering if anyone on this list has come across the need to convert a Proxmox VM to a libvirt VM. Given that they use the same underlying technology (qemu/KVM), I'm pretty sure it's possible and just a matter of hashing out the differences in configuration (i.e. creating the necessary libvirt xml for the Proxmox disk), but figured I'd ask here first in case

Using Tinc to create overlay network for VMs or LXC containers?
Hi, I am trying to understand Tinc better. I have gone through the documentation and the recent mailing lists. What I am trying to do is see if Tinc can be an alternative to using OVS with GRE tunnels to connect VMs on 2 subnets, only in this case I am using LXC containers. LXC creates a NAT network called lxcbr0 typically on a 10.0.3.0 subnet (similar in functionality to virbr0 for KVM) that

Alternative to Proxmox
----- "Bruce B" <bruceb444 at gmail.com> wrote: > Hi Everyone, > Is there other comparable products to Proxmox to be used for Asterisk instances? Ease of use, web interface, and Asterisk/CentOS support would be ideal. There is OpenNode: http://opennode.activesys.org/ I've heard good things thus far but have not had time nor need to test it myself. --Tim

Tinc 1.0.24 regulary disconnected
Promox 4.2 running on 2 nodes + 1 quorum = total 3 servers. All of them have tinc 1.0.24 running. On very rare occasions (every few days or 1~2 weeks), my website hosted on this proxmox node will throw cloudflare 522 connection timed out for few seconds or few minutes: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200171906-Error-522-Connection-timed-out This problem has been driving me

Cannot open config file /etc/tinc/XXX/hosts/YYYY: No such file or directory
why dont you place a service dependency on your tinc service init/systemd files to depend on your fuse/mount service? Bridged nodes sharing local IP to be used as gateway for LXC
Hello everyone, I am running multiple nodes each having multiple LXC containers. On those nodes I am using Tinc to share the subnet 10.20.0.0. The LXC containers may migrate between nodes and should keep the same configuration. On all nodes traffic from the external interfaces (connected to the internet) is forwarded to the bridge interfaces and masqueraded. The LXC containers are using 10.20.0.1

Urgent :) Procedure for replacing Gluster Node on 3.8.12
Status: We have a 3 node gluster cluster (proxmox based) - gluster 3.8.12 - Replica 3 - VM Hosting Only - Sharded Storage Or I should say we *had* a 3 node cluster, one node died today. Possibly I can recover it, in whcih case no issues, we just let it heal itself. For now its running happily on 2 nodes with no data loss - gluster for teh win! But its looking like I might have to replace the

Hello, I have an issue with virt-resize on the newest version of proxmox which is running on debian wheezy. when I run the virt-resize on a windows 2008 qemu image I got an error. Exposing extra subnet via Tinc
Hi! I'm currently using Tinc to create a VPN between a Linux server, a Windows server, and my local laptop and desktop computers (both running Windows). I picked an IP in the 10.123.1.x range for each server, and added something like "Subnet = 10.123.1.1/32" to each host config file. It's working very well! What I'd like to do now is expose an extra subnet to the VPN. The

Setting ACLs with smbcacls fails (partly)
Hello, I'm running a PDC and a secondary DC in privilegded lxc containers and try to setup a fileserver in an unprivileged lxc container. The shares of the file server are on the ZFS of the host and mapped via bind-mount. I've got the problem, that I get error messages when setting the ACLs of a samba share either via the Windows explorer or using the smbcacls command. On Windows

web frontend for managing libvirt servers
Hi all, I know that redhat has some web based GUI for managing libvirt clusters, however, I am not having purchased redhat :-) Is there any good open-source web frontend you can recommend for managing your libvirt instances? Ideally with VNC/spice support for connecting to the remote? I know of proxmox, which we used so far for our openvz containers, but I am about to migrate to KVM (and

Exposing extra subnet via Tinc
I worked this out - I just had to manually add a route on the Windows machines: route add 192.168.122.0 mask 255.255.255.0 10.123.1.4 (where 10.123.1.4 is the local IP on the Tinc interface) I was hoping that Tinc would automatically configure the routing tables, but configuring it manually is fine. Re: libguestfs on proxmox
Unfortunately I cannot use the latest version of libguestfs therefore I am stuck with the 1.20 since the newest versions need augeas 1.0.0 where debian wheezy has only 0.7 in it’s repository. But I will try to compile the ocaml 4.01 and see what is the result. Keresztes Péter-Zoltán zozo@z0z0.tk I haven’t lost my mind, I know exactly where I left it. On 01 Jul 2014, at 18:19, Richard W.M.
