Cannot connect when using BindAddress
I want tinc to listen locally on loopback, so that port 655 is not
exposed on any system interfaces. Can't tinc make outbound connections
when listening on loopback? I can't see any reason why it should. This
system will never have other tinc daemons connect to it, it will only
ever connect to other tinc daemons in order to establish a VPN
connection.

Cannot connect when using BindAddress
The only thing „localhost“ can talk to is „localhost“ - by definition & independently of tinc.
What are you trying to accomplish with that choice?

BindAddress with Openssh
Hi
In a nutshell, the BindAddress functionality doesn't seem to work (at
least on Solaris 7 when using the fake-gettaddrinfo module provided). I
haven't been able to test on other OS versions or using an OS library
provided getaddrinfo (such as OpenBSD), but the unless the functionality
of getaddrinfo is majorly different, I think this problem would be
similar everywhere.

PATCH: multiple BindAddress
Hello all,
I recently have a problem with multiple addresses and address
families. Problem is simple, i have some hosts with IPv4 access only
and some with IPv6 access. This wouldn't be big problem if I had a
stable IP addresses. But sometimes I move to another network with
complete different addresses. So I created patch which on option
BindAddress accept list of addresses. With ip I solved

Port numbers
Hi
In the case where you have access to TCP and UDP outbound initiated
connections and no choice of the port numbers due to the firewall setup it
would be very useful to be able to specify both the UDP and TCP ports that
tinc uses separately. Currently in 1.0 I end up with a TCP based VPN
because I can't tell tinc which UDP port to connect to the remote side on.
Could this be added to 1.1?

(vaguely) related to: "doveadm auth user" ...
While digging through the code I remember having seen something like an (yet undocumented) "update_query" for SQL (and I guess something similar for the LDAP faction as well)?!
Can that be used to augment the "doveadm pw" function to actually /set/ the password for a given user instead of just "calculating" the hash, so that an operator can copy&waste it into the

proctitle woes with 2.0.7 vs. 2.0.6
Hello -
I just noticed, that there seems to be a change in the way "process titles" are being set between 2.0.6 and 2.0.7:
Behavior of 2.0.6: (ps aux | fgrep dovecot)
------------------
root 30803 0.0 0.0 601540 708 ?? S 1:08AM 0:00.00 dovecot/log
_dovecot 30802 0.0 0.0 601544 624 ?? S 1:08AM 0:00.00 dovecot/anvil

FWD and (multiple) internal IPs
My Asterisk box also does NAT for internal network, and establishes site-to-site VPN tunnel(s). As a result I have several internal interfaces with private addresses on them, and only one public interface. By trial-and-error I've found out that FWD (SIP) won't work unless I disable my VPN tunnels - it would send the internal IP address to FWD's SIP server instead of public one. I

Fw: iax2 bindaddress: how to reload so iax2 can bind to an alias IP
I just found an old bug report at bugs.digium.com with exactly the same problem.
It's really too bad this bug wasn't addressed:
