However, VPNs are Virtual *Private* Networks, and I don't know of any company that publicly states what VPN technology they use (unless it's a company that sells VPN software/access of course). So I will not name any companies,

Do we know the size of biggest deployment(site-site and client-site) which is tinc based VPN? Or it is just used in toy projects at schools to learn something about VPN? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Suppose tinc is installed on 100 routers in 100 sites. How to automate site-site vpn management across 100 sites? Some kind of vpn management solution? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... automation refers to day to day vpn management from non-IT layman... not a geek running shell/ansible scrpits. There is a reason most NMS systems used SNMP in the past and REST apis past 7+ years. They don't use CLIs except toy Expect type scripts.. Not just security but better error handling and more. Is SPTPS protocol enabled in 1.1 by default? Or we need to manually enable it. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://www.tinc-vpn.org/pipermail/tinc/attachments/20180316/2360e357/attachment.html>

Tinc and OpenWRT
Jonathan, I really like OpenWrt. I've deployed Tinc on ~12 routers with OpenWrt installed. I use the Tinc 1.0 series since I don't want to support my own packages. OpenWrt has a nice unified configuration system. Tinc has a nice configuration directory structure. What OpenWrt has done to merge these two concepts over complicates things, and generally sucks. Hello Jonathan, I will probably make a tinc 1.1 OpenWrt package soon. I am already maintener for th 1.0 package. If you want to read about how to make the package there is this very good documentation: http://wiki.prplfoundation.org/wiki/Creating_an_OpenWrt_package_for_a_web_page Saverio 2015-01-29 19:02 GMT+01:00 Jonathan Clark <tinc-list at heyjonathan.com>: > On Tue, Jan 27,

curiosity: are there routers out there supporting tinc natively? for a typical host -connectTo-> mainTincBoxes I use Railtrack https://github.com/JeevesTakesOver/Railtrack however it looks to me that your question was more about orchestration, python fabric or ansible are probably your best options for this task On Thu, 29 Mar 2018 at 09:40, al so <volkswak at gmail.com> wrote:

Is your package built with or without OpenSSL? How do you intergrate with UCI? Can I view the makefile somewhere?
