migrate samba domain controller to CTDB
Hello,
I am trying to migrate samba domain controller (version 3.6, passdb
backend = tdbsam) to a new clustered environment with CTDB (same samba
version). I have a functional ceph storage and the ctdbd configured
according to the documentation.
However, all available guides are for the fresh installations and I
can't migrate current data into the CTDB.

Connection failing between 2 nodes with dropped packets error
Hi,
I'm sometimes getting a failure of connecting 2 nodes when Tinc is started
and configured in a LAN. In the logs, there are some unexpected dropped
packets with very high or negative seq. I can reproduce this issue ~2% of
the time.
When this happens, the 2 nodes can no longer ping or ssh each other through
the tunnel interface but using eth0 works fine. The connection can recover

Branches (again)
A long long time ago, I asked about the different tinc branches.
Guus, you said at the time that
* trunk is 1.0, bugfixes only
* 1.0-gnutls, POKEY, and pre4-cube are stagnant
* 2.0 is where new work should happen...at the time, it didn't
compile, and it appears it still doesn't
This answer discouraged me; I have trouble getting excited about new
work in a branch that's been

With a current version of Dovecot a search is pretty fast _without_ using external indexes. I have a view defined (virtual plugin) with around 22.000 messages in it, and searching the full view only takes 2.5

Indexing Mail faster
Hi,
I am trying to get faster search results on our webmail client(Roundcube).
Besides using Lucene for FTS are there other options?
Would having all mails indexed give fast results?
Currently the time it takes to search 25,000mails is 4mins. If indexed how
much faster are we looking at?
Really appreciate if someone could advise about this.
Thanks
Kevin

[LLVMdev] Buildbots: Apology and Explanation
Hi Bill,

don't forget the time-zone effect. I regularly get build
failures in the morning, presumably because someone in the
US committed just before going to bed. I guess they are
happily snoring away when the build-bots (and humans) start
complaining! So when hours go by without a fix, it
