EXT3-fs error (devive dm-0) in start_transaction: Journal has aborted
My recently installed CentOS 4.3 system (which is the kickstart server for other systems -- see other thread) is currently hung. I can ping it, but can't do much of anything else. When I switch to one of the virtual consoles, I can briefly see the "login:" prompt, but then that window immediately fills with up with the following message: EXT3-fs error (devive dm-0) in

Root filesystem is suddenly mounted read-only
This is very strange. Everything was running fine Friday night. This morning I walk into work and find that my root file system (which is actually the only filesystem besides /boot) is not writable. Yet mount thinks it's mounted read/write: # mount /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 on / type ext3 (rw) [snip] # touch foo touch: cannot touch `foo': Read-only file

/var goes read-only
This is an issue that I have been having with one of our production servers for a couple of months, just out of no where /var goes to read only. There aren't any errors that show up in /var/log/messages nor dmesg, I checked to make sure that the drives on error option is set to continue and there isn't anything as far as I can tell wrong with the disks. Also there is plenty of disk space.

Call deflection on ISDN PRI in Sweden
Hello List! We're having trouble making call deflection on ISDN PRI. We would like to transfer a call to an external extension but keeping the callerid of the caller so it can be presented to the receiver of the transferred call. At the time we're using Zaptel 1.4.5.1, Asterisk 1.4.11 and Digium hardware TE420B. We've ordered the service (CD) from the phone company. The

nsd-4.0.0b5(and rc2) and changing zone from master to slave ?
Hi, I'm doing some quick tests with nsd-4.0.0b5 and (rc2). And found something strange when changing (nsd-control reconfig) one zone from: zone: name: 10.in-addr.arpa zonefile: /zones/empty.zone to zone: name: 10.in-addr.arpa request-xfr: 192.168.122.12 NOKEY allow-notify: 192.168.122.12 NOKEY zonefile: /zones/slave/10.rev and doing nsd-control reconfig. My case was due to the fact that this desktop Linux computer had two HDs, where one of them (a Quamtum, top

Problems getting tinc running
Hi folks, Sorry to trouble you all - I'm having some trouble getting tincd up and running - I suspect I'm having problems with subnets. Any help would relaly be appreciated! At the moment I'm trying to get two linux boxes, both of which are running as NAT routers for their respective networks to talk. My goal is to allow staff to connect to the corporate network from their laptops

Problem with more than two Subnets!
Hello, I successfully built a vpn between two hosts ("main" and "iquique") (and its SubNets), but I have problems when I want to add another host ("valparaiso"): I get a lot of Duplicates packets everywhere and a very slow vpn. I guess that is a routing problem, but I have try with a lot of alternatives without result. I have try with "switch",

Windows service tincd behaves different from command line tincd
Providing logs will greatly increase your chances of people helping you. Do 'tincd -n VPNname -D -d2' or -d3 or -d4 until you see error messages, do this on both sides. My common mistake is forgetting to copy the public cert to the other side. -Cobin On Jan 26, 2015 5:53 AM, "Henk van der Meer" <hvdmeer at timeservice.nl> wrote: > Hello, > > > > I have 4

3.0-cannot create profile directory...
Hi everyone, upon login windows reports: "Windows cannot create profile directory \\fw\profiles\leon.pds. You will be logged on with a local profile only. Changes to the profile will not be propagated to the server." Then it says: "Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make..." looked all over now, tested variations

Windows service tincd behaves different from command line tincd
Hello, I have 4 VM's running in Microsoft Azure. They all should have similar configurations except from their tinc ip addresses of course. They run tinc 1.0.24. I have a 5th machine, my development machine. I am able to ping all 4 VM's from my computer when I start tinc from the commandline (tincd -n innomeer -D -d 2). 3 of the computers also work ok when running tinc as a service

tinc 1.0.26 on Ubuntu 15.10 x64 sometimes crashes on startup
Hello, on an x64 ubuntu 15.10 desktop tinc 1.0.26 sometimes crashes on startup of the machine. eth0 (via good old cat6 cable, no wireless) is configured to use dhcp. The crash does not happen often, I have seen it in total maybe 2 or 3 times since installing 15.10 while it was still in alpha ( July 2015 ) until today. The desktop is not shut down very often, maybe once a week or every two weeks

Tinc 1.0.26 on Mac OS X
Mike, you can use ifconfig, it should work fine. It can be something like this: #!/bin/sh ifconfig $INTERFACE 172.20.0.1 netmask 255.255.0.0 It no need to add up at the end of ifconfig string. And "ip route" can be skipped too. On Fri, Feb 26, 2016 at 5:23 PM, Mike Purvis <mpurvis at clearpathrobotics.com> wrote: > Hi Maxim, > > > Not much to it: > >

It's probably just tap0. Tinc should've warned about this,
