Multi tenancy and/or Hosted AD like solution
Thanks Andrew, I've a few ideas on the go with a client atm, will need to scrap out some of the data before sharing, But like you said stateless-ness is the way i'm trying to go here. We have a central backend that we hope can build/re-provision samba in a container on a per tenant bases. However migrating and updating SAMBA binary with a "state volume" is something still an

Multi tenancy and/or Hosted AD like solution
Hi, I've been doing some research and testing into implementing SAMBA 4 as a AD/DC role for offering "AD as a service" to various small companies, I've been testing SAMBA out in various different configurations and wondering if SAMBA in AD/DC role if it's possible to segment in such a way some requirements: - Windows 10 support, e.g SMB3 - AD tree segmentation so that one

Anyone using CentOS Active Directory like system?
I am the IT Development Specialist for a small community college and our CIO has asked me to explore an alternative to Microsoft Active Directory as we are separating from our parent university and funding is tight so we were looking into CentOS with 389 Directory Server. Any advise or suggestions would be very helpful. Jacob Tennant

That's quite hard to do, it's far easier to run four instances of tinc on four different ports on the same machine. >

Selective canreinvite in multi-tenant environment
Hello, all. In our multi-tenant environment, we would like to be able to use the reinvite media redirection within Asterisk for calls within a tenant but not between tenants. We would like inter-tenant calls to be fully proxied by the Asterisk server. I think the answer is, "we can't," but I thought I'd ask anyway. I'd dearly like to remove the substantial traffic

VoiceMail Issue
Hello, am attempting again to resolve an issue with multi-tenancy and the forwarding to VMs between mailboxes. If in a multi-tenancy environment one uses custom contexts ie. WaitExten only reading 1 digit.
I am trying to setup an interactive menu where a caller hits the main menu and can then dial an extension. As far as I can tell the "Waitexten" app is failing to read 3 digits and just reading the first and then announcing that it is invalid since all extensions are 3 digits. How do I make Waitexten wait for 3 digits? I have setup the extension "100" for users to reach the

Multitenant or Multiple virtual machines
Hi all, We want to offer hosted PBX services to some of our clients (maybe 10-20) and were wondering if it makes sense to get a software package capable of handling multiple virtual tenants or if we should just create multiple virtual machines in our server each running a single- tenant license of the software. We have been researching virtual PBX software for asterisk for a couple of

[LLVMdev] GSOC Adaptive Compilation Framework for LLVM JIT Compiler
*Project Description:* * * LLVM has gained much popularity in the programming languages and compiler industry from the time it is developed. Lots of researchers have used LLVM as frameworks for their researches and many languages have been ported to LLVM IR and interpreted, Just-in-Time compiled or statically compiled to native code. One of the current drawbacks of the LLVM JIT is the lack of an

Multi-Tenant PBX with Asterisk
Hi I came across couple of pointers on the Internet regarding solutions available for providing hosted PBX service. 1. Multiple PBXs: Using separate hardware to host each PBX. Pretty straightforward, but no hosting company wants to use it. 2. Multi-tenant PBX: Configuring multiple PBXs within the same instance of Asterisk. I.e. partitioning a single instance of Asterisk into multiple PBXs by way

GUI that supports virtual PBX's/users
A friend of mine runs a small office building, 10-15 tenants. Each have their own company, their own thing, renting space from him. His main PBX is getting dated and his tenants are complaining. I was telling him about Asterisk but his main concern is he doesn't want to have to always be the one to add/remove extensions, or change the IVR hours or whatever. Does anybody know of a free or
