Allow direct connection between some (but not all) nodes on the network (Guus Sliepen)
Guus Sliepen, I am working in a zeroconf setup for tinc called tzk, that could allow you to make this easily https://github.com/NebTex/tzk/ it will make better readme this weekend but you need a public machine with a public domain - subdomain pointed to it, the script will install tinc, consul (that is used for coordinate the vpn), and caddy a small reverse proxy for expose consul to the public

testing out 6.03 network booting...
Hi all, wasnt sure whether this was the best place to put this information; but something seems to have gone 'backwards' in the later pre-releases of 6.03 regarding network booting. below are results of me testing - i did each a few times to make sure they are valid results. hope it helps identify something that's gone awry ? so far, 6.03 pre11 and pre13 (excluding efi32) seem most

another index question
I am hoping for some advice regarding another index problem. The code below is intended to assign a value of 'V' if values on certain variables are >= 1, assign a value of 'N' if values on certain variables are >= 1 on other variables and assign a 'O' if values on any variable which have a value <= 0. The outcome of this code is to assign a single

tinc using docker containers
I've recently built a docker container to easily install and configure tinc 1.1pre14 in any machine using docker containers. I've created a Github repo in https://github.com/bys-control/docker-tinc I'm working in a WEB based admin interface for managing tinc daemons. Right now it's just a JSON API for tinc, but I'm working in developing the front end. Any

[Announcement] Tinc version 1.1pre11 released
With pleasure we announce the release of tinc version 1.1pre11. Here is a summary of the changes: * Added a "network" command to list or switch networks. * Switched to Ed25519 keys and the ChaCha-Poly1305 cipher for the new protocol. * AutoConnect is now a boolean option, when enabled tinc always tries to keep at least three meta-connections open. * The new protocol now

Tinc and OpenWRT
Greetings. I'm new to tinc, but have so far managed to get a couple laptops and a hosted server all connected. They're working as expected, running Tinc 1.1-pre11, which I compiled from source. Next I want to move on to adding my home router into the mix. My routers run OpenWRT. I don't have experience compiling anything from source for OpenWRT, but OpenWRT has Tinc 1.0.25

Allow direct connection between some (but not all) nodes on the network
I'm using tinc 1.1pre14 to establish a VPN between 10 servers and a few administration clients. I have a central server that runs Tinc and all other servers and clients connect to it. I need the to be able to establish a direct connection between the administration clients and the servers, but block the server between each other. I couldn't find a way to do this with tinc, but meantime

Upgrading 1.1pre14 nodes to 1.1pre15 in an existing mesh
Hi I have a Tinc cluster of about 100 nodes, and they are all running tinc 1.1pre14. I'd like to upgrade to tinc 1.1pre15. Is there a suggested mechanism to do this while keeping the cluster up? For instance can I simply automate the installation of tinc 1.1pre15 on each node and reload the existing configuration using 'tinc reload' Will the temporary state of having a mix set of
