Receiving packet failed: (10054) (2nd post)
Thank you for your response. Yes, I know something changed, hence the smiley. I have looked at the code (I was able to build it under the new windows bash). It turns out that the error was on a udp receive, not a tcp connection. Didn't know you would get this error. Anyhow near the location of the error there was a remark about IPv6. I hadn't looked at that yet. So I turned IPv6 off at

Receiving packet failed: (10054)
Hello, I have a problem connecting to one of my computers using tinc 1.0.x on Windows. It used to work, now it suddenly stopped (and nothing changed :) ) We have a server with a known ip address and port forwarding set. All computer connect to this server. I can ping from my computer (laptophenk) to the server and some other computers but not to jeffrey2015. When I set tincd to -D -d4 I get ( I

Windows service tincd behaves different from command line tincd
Hello, I have 4 VM's running in Microsoft Azure. They all should have similar configurations except from their tinc ip addresses of course. They run tinc 1.0.24. I have a 5th machine, my development machine. I am able to ping all 4 VM's from my computer when I start tinc from the commandline (tincd -n innomeer -D -d 2). 3 of the computers also work ok when running tinc as a service

Having problems connecting
Parke, Thank you for your suggestion, but I am already using those subnet settings. And how could they be wrong if the two peers start communicating at some point without changing the settings? Having problems connecting
I am having problems connecting two computers over the vpn. Form the debug messages it looks like the two computers are connected via tcp on port 655. But when I try to ping the other computer I get the message: Cannot route packet from TrackServer (MYSELF): unknown IPv4 destination address 10.23.23.255 One computer has the VPN ip address 10.23.23.1, the other 10.23.23.2. About peer UDP address detection
I would like to discuss the following commit: https://github.com/gsliepen/tinc/commit/4a0b9981513059755b9fd15b38fc198f46a0d6f2 ("Determine peer's reflexive address and port when exchanging keys") This is a great feature as it basically allows peers to do UDP Hole Punching (via MTU probes) even when both are having their source ports rewritten by a NAT, which is extremely useful.

Having problems connecting
One of the nodes is running without a firewall. The other is on a public Azure server and can't run without firewall. It is running without firewall on its own (10.23.23.1) network card. How could the firewall do this when it starts running after some time without changing anything to the firewall? SegFault when using TunnelServer=yes
Hi all, I have a network with about ~800. The network is a mix of tinc 1.0 and 1.1 nodes. It is gradually expanding for several years now. The problem is that at some point it seams the daemon can not handle the processing of the new connection and the edges. There are 3 major nodes in the system and every other node initially makes connection to one of them. Now after a lot of debugging

Problem starting connection - build tinc VM
Hello, I have send the message below this message before. I guess nobody is familiar with my problem. So the next step is "use the source". The thing is I'm a windows developer. I have tried to build tinc before, a few years ago. And I know the linux developers think it is easy. And it always is, once you know what to do. But I got so many errors last time, I just gave up. I

TrustedNodes option in TINC
Hi, We want to deploy a tinc VPN, with more than 50 sites connected all arround the world. But we cannot trust all our sites with the same level, so the tinc solution (automatic full mesh) is "too automatic" for us : *any* node can add a new node which will be connected directly to others. A solution could be TLS (signing public keys), but create a PKI is another issue for us.

oggz tool renames
Hi, After lots and lots of requests, I went through and changed all the tool names in oggz so that they contain hyphens: http://trac.annodex.net/changeset/3627 That patch touches the names of built executables, references to them in docs and scripts (ie. oggz-dump is called by oggz-diff) etc. There's lots of little places where the tool names appear, so please test against the current oggz

Force unmount??
Is there any method of forcibly umounting an NFS mounted directory? We have a test environment managed under puppet that is also our DR environment. In a DR scenario we''ll be umounting all NFS shares from out test array and remounting to our DR array. However, as this is a test environment we have users logged on, so when Puppet attempts to unmount the test directories, it fails
