PriorityInheritance doesn't work (tinc 1.0.19)
Hello!
I'd like to use PriorityInheritance option, despite it is still
experimental. (Why it could be experimental, when it looks quite simple
feature, no?)
But this option doesn't change the TOS field of outgoing UDP packet.
I just do tcpdump on outgoing interface from vty1:
$ sudo tcpdump -vni eth0 udp dst port 655
And from vty2 I do ping with setting of tos field to EF(0xb8).

[PATCH] nfsmount: support nfsvers= and vers= options
The standard mount option nowadays to specify NFS version is "nfsvers", as
documented in nfs(5) on modern Linux systems. Up to now, nfsmount only
supported the old "v2" or "v3" boolean options.
Extend option parsing to support both "nfsvers=X" and "vers=X", with X
being equal to either 2 or 3 (nfsmount does not support NFSv4 at present).
If both

Identical Subnets with equal weight
Hi,
The man page, in the part about "Subnet" directives, does not specifiy
what happens when two nodes announce the same Subnet with the same weight.
Is one of the two nodes chosen arbitrarily? If so, how?
My use-case is to announce a default route from two different nodes of the
same Tinc network. I would like to have some sort of load-balancing
between the gateways, but a simple

TINC and OpenVPN tunnel performance on a Windows client
Hi,
I had some performance problems with TINC running on Windows XP. I had a
VPN tunnel running over a wireless network to a Linux VPN server. Web
browsing through the tunnel was a pain. Big web pages with lots of
pictures loaded very slow compared to a plain network connection.
When the VPN client was running on a Linux computer, and a Windows
computer was browsing the web through the VPN

TOS
Hello Tincers,
Is it possible to replicate the TOS of a package (or even the mark) from a
packet before entering the TAP to match the encrypted packet that goes to
the Internet?
I have a 20+ nodes in a tinc network and I need to privilege ssh packets
that goes inside the VPN above anything.
I can't just give priority to all tinc packets as there are a lot of bulk
traffic going on that does

Bug#810964: [Xen-devel] [BUG] EDAC infomation partially missing
I haven't yet done as much experimentation as Andreas Pflug has, but I
can confirm I'm also running into this bug with Xen 4.4.1.
I've only tried Linux kernel 3.16.43, but as Dom0:

EDAC amd64: DRAM ECC enabled.
EDAC amd64: NB MCE bank disabled, set MSR 0x0000017b[4] on node 0 to enable.

Netatalk Support?
Reply-To:
Hi
When configuring samba there is an option to turn on netatalk-support.
I did this, because we need to see the shared on both windows and mac, but I
couln't see any difference in sambas behaviour.
Netatalk stored the ressource-fork, and some files the Mac-Finder created in
Directories calles ".AppleDouble".
I hoped, that with netatalk-support samba would handle those

memory leak
Hi,
I am running tinc on alpine linux 2.7.8 in 2 seperate environments. The
first environment is running for about a month without any problems.
The second environment causes some trouble. It looks like a memory leak on
the client side.
tincd.conf:
ConnectTo=ServerHost
Device=/dev/net/tun
Mode=switch
Name=ClientHost
PMTUDiscovery = yes
DeviceType=tap
PriorityInheritance = yes
