issue with sieve forwarding after upgrade to 0.5.1

It seems that the NoNewPrivileges option messes with several things. PAM authentication stopped working as well besides the fact that CAP_AUDIT_WRITE is also missing in CapabilityBoundingSet. Sieve fileinto copies messages instead of moving them
Hi, we're running Doveocot 2.3.4.1 with Pigeonhole, from repo.webflow.org. As far as I understand the RFC for 'fileinto', the following Sieve script should move a message either into the folder "SPAM" or "MaybeSPAM": require ["fileinto"]; # rule:[SPAM] if header :contains "subject" "SPAMSPAM" { fileinto "SPAM"; } #

It should be mentioned somehow that one can't just change the hierarchy separator on the fly (without manual changes to the fs). If you used . as the separator, it would look this in the filesystem: .testfolder.sub1 Now you change the separator to $. Your mail client will see the existing

Can’t authenticate any users after upgrade.
I?m in the process of upgrading an old server from Fedora 21 to something more modern. Now, Dovecot won?t let any client login to get their email. PAM audit_log_acct_message() failed: Operation not permitted imap-login: Disconnected (AUTH failed, 2 attempts in 10 secs): user=<username>, method=PLAIN, rip=192.168.1.94 lip=192.168.1.94, TLS, session=<sessionid> # 2.3.1 (8e2f634):

outlook idiocy - IMAP folders with /
user attempts to create folders with / dovecot naturally cannot create it so it returns error but outlook of course "create" it and keep data in local store only. data is lost when you remove local store .pst file. The question is - can dovecot be configured so it will automatically replace slash in name with something else?

dovecot 2.3.x, ECC and wildcard certificates, any issues
That is one of the reasons I do not bother since long with public CAs but rather deploy my own, including own OSCP responder. Which has of course has some drawbacks like redundancy, resilience, bandwidth provision, geographical spread, implementing CA security standards and CA trust in clients. Latter though could be easily overcome if browser and email clients were to support DNSSEC/DANE

“doveadm mailbox” command fails with UTF-8 mailboxes
Hello, I?ve got a strange misconfiguration where the following command: doveadm -f pager mailbox status -u spamutf8 'messages vsize guid' INBOX 'INBOX.*' ? fails with error code 68, saying that it can?t find one of the mailboxes. (It lists the user?s other mailboxes.) The name of the mailbox in question is saved to disk in UTF-8 rather than mUTF-7, but strace shows that doveadm
