Yes you are right, i realized that just after i sent the email, that it
was a bit in haste.

delivery of 20k+ emails within a few minutes, id be glad to know.
.. and i will have to ask the same q at postfix mailinglists

or, since you already use doveadm, tell dovecot to index your mailbox
manually before your 'doveadm status' command:
doveadm -v index -q -u local-it-support INBOX

Getting data from multiple controllers (Newbie question)
Hello,
Assuming I have the following setup for one page:
<column A><data from controller 1 /> </columnA>
<column B><data from controller 2 /> </columnB>
<column C><data from controller 3 /> </columnC>
Assuming the page is created for Controller 2, what would be the best
way(s) to gather/render the data from the other controllers?

Unitek iZi UPS 525
Hi everybody,
I've got an Unitek iZi UPS 525 with a serial interface. The supplied cable
looks fairly simple: RX->RX , TX->TX and GND->GND. Using this cable and
Minicom with 2400 8N1 I'm able to issue commands to the UPS using the
"Megatec Protocol" http://www.networkupstools.org/protocols/megatec.html so
I know the UPS is fairly "intelligent" :-) and the

dovecot crashing?
Happy holidays! I am experiencing an issue when trying to check my mail
using IMAP. with Dovecot I have tried checking my mail using a full GUI
client (Thunderbird) and telnet. Both times I get disconnected before all
of my messages can be downloaded and I see an error in my mail log. Here
are the details:

Dovecot LDA/LMTP vs postfix virtual delivery agent and the x-original-to header
I'm resurrecting this again because I'm getting pretty close to possibly
being ready to install a brand new dovecot server (finally), but I still
need for dovecots LMTP to add the x-original-to header.
So... was this completed quietly, or is support for it still not there?
Thanks,
Charles

[OT] Oldest Telephone
While the rest of you were chatting about the smallest * server, I was
sitting her staring at the telephone hanging on the wall.
It is a Western Electric set in a varnished pine box with an earpiece
you hold in your left hand and a mouthpiece attached to the box. You
crank the magneto with your right hand to signal the switchboard.
The two dry cells inside are dated 1935, and I'm

APC Backups Pro Low Batt
It there a way to get the genericups driver to set a output on the serial
port?
On the APC BackupPro the will pull the BattLow line low with a pull down
resistor
it's up to you to from the PC side to pull the line high with a pullup
resistor from one of
the RS232 output pins. Then monitor the line with another pin.

Is imap "list" required before imap "select" for shared folder?
I set up a shared mailbox with dovecot and it basically works. However,
before I can imap SELECT or STATUS the shared mailbox I have to first do
an imap LIST, i.e,
. list "" *
If list is not done first, the imap select or status command on the
shared mailbox results in a "NO" response with "mailbox doesn't exist"
response text.

2.1.rc1 (056934abd2ef): virtual plugin mailbox search pattern
Hello Timo,
With dovecot 2.1.rc1 (056934abd2ef) there seems to be something wrong
with virtual plugin mailbox search patterns.
I'm using a virtual mailbox 'unread' with the following dovecot-virtual file
$ cat dovecot-virtual

unseen
For testing propose I created the following folders with each containing
one unread message
INBOX, INBOX/level1 and INBOX/level1/level2

IP Alias problems
I have a few IP addresses attached to an interface without problems. I
also have some chrooted environments attached to these IP addresses. Is
there a way to make connections (telnet) from these environments look like
they are coming from the aliased IP''s rather than the main IP address?
Thanks for any help
Kevin.

Aw: Re: Panic: Leaked view for index - virtual mailbox
I am pretty sure Synoptic/INBOX/Archives will not be same as INBOX/Archives.
a SELECT Synoptic/INBOX/Archives
a NO Mailbox doesn't exist: Synoptic/INBOX/Archives (0.001 + 0.000 secs).
a SELECT INBOX/Archives

* OK [PERMANENTFLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft \*)]
Flags permitted.

automatic flag updates
Is there a way to get dovecot to send automatic flag updates? I notice
that when I have two clients connected and one of them reads a new
message, the server sends a status update which contains the number of
unseen messages, but doesn't specifically say which ones have changed.
I think the solution to this problem, while not wasting bandwidth, is to
issue a unilateral FETCH FLAGS response
