CentOS 4.3/postfix/procmail lock failures
Hello,
What is the proper solution to the problem below the sig?
For a similar issue, Phillip Guenther, procmail's maintainer, at
<http://article.gmane.org/gmane.mail.procmail/1623/match=error+writing+var+spool+mail>
suggests "chmod g+s /usr/bin/procmail", but I'm reluctant.
There are also suggestions that in this configuration the packager must
make certain that

Is anyone using Isilon OneFS in combination with Samba with AD authentication ?
Hi,
We are in the process of testing a migration of our current setup which
contains Samba 4 as Classic DC with LDAP backend, Isilon OneFS bulk
storage serving NFS/SMB shares and Windows/Mac/Linux clients to a more
modern Samba 4 AD.
We need to migrate to Samba AD because of Windows 10 and macos 10.13.x
(and for several other reasons).
But we run into an issue with authenticating the clients

problems with smbpasswd in samba-2.0.2+ (repost)
I sent the following message to the list nearly two weeks ago
and didn't receive a single response. In fact, I haven't received
any replies to the last 3-4 questions I have asked (over the
past 6 months). Maybe it is my wording??? I see the messages
in the digest, so I know they are going to the list. :-)
I have no right to complain and only cause to be very happy

mail delivery question
I've built a new mail system with Centos 6.5, and I'm running fetchmail -
sendmail - procmail to maildir. I have all of this working at the moment.(I
know, postfix was the default, but for lots of other reasons, I switched, and
that isn't an issue, I don't think).
I am using dovecot as an imap server. Procmail won't update indexes during email
delivery, so I'm having some

Using procmail to mark messages as read in dovecot
So, I use procmail extensively, and I have for a long time, but marking messages as 'read' in a Maildir has always been a little wonky:
TRAP='mv "$LASTFOLDER" "${LASTFOLDER}:2,S"'
Since I've switched to dovecot, is there a way to mark a message on delivery as read or not new or seen?

using winbind to map existing unix to AD users
On our campus, we have an AD forest. Our particular department has a
number of samba servers that authenticate to one tree of that AD forest.
All of our users have accounts in LDAP for unix and AD for windows.
We don't want/need winbind for authentication. However, we would like the
ability of setting ACLs on the samba server from windows clients. So, I
assume I need a mapping of unix

AD dropping connection from storage cluster
Hi everyone.
Since yesterday we started experiencing very weird problem with our samba
AD server and our Isilon storage. This seems to affect only the storage, as
our Windows workstations are fine.
Suddenly the storage lost connectivity to the AD and so it's unable to
provide access to the SMB shares. I've tried rejoining without success and
whatnot.
Today I even created second AD dc for

OT: procmail recipe question
I'm trying to use procmail and I'm having trouble getting it to set some
headers. I have one mailing list that sets ?Newsgroups: in the header
and I want to remove it. I have the following test recipe:

* ^Subject:.*\<testing
* ^(Mime-Version:|Content-)
| formail -IMime-Version: -IContent-
If I understand it correctly, it should remove the Mime-Verion and
Content headers.

Random procmail filter failures.
Hi all,
I'm seeing a random issue with my procmail filters (only on email from
this list) where once every so often, it will fail to filter a
message. I am sorting by the to/cc email address, and this rule works
on 99.9% of posts, however every now and again, I see something like
this happen:

Maildir, procmail, and locks
I'm using procmail as the local delivery agent for Maildir style

was unable to send mail to myself. Examples from verbose procmail log:

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the Isilon OneFS storage
system (http://www.isilon.com/) using NFS to host storage for Dovecot.

procmail --> deliver question
Hi there,
I use dovecot-1.1-rc4, got imap, imaps, pop3 & pop3s working fine with the mbox format.
I use sendmail-8.14.2 as an MTA, sendmail uses procmail as an LDA.
I migrated to maildir format now, and pipe all my mail to deliver right now to be able to make use of the indexing etc...
Problem is I run into some errors :

openssh on HPUX 11i
In case this hasn't already been reported or discussed...
It took some doing for me to get openssh working on HPUX 11i.
The fixes are quite simple. First, one must have the IPV6
package installed:
em 512# swlist -l product | grep IPV6
IPV6AA A.01.01.5D IPv6 11i product
Second, I have to edit config.h to undefine HAVE_GETADDRINFO.
Without IPV6, ssh can't connect

dovecot 2.2.13 core dump (signal 11)
We just upgraded from 2.1.16 to 2.2.13. One user is experiencing
problems when using the shared namespace. Specifically it happens when
opening/reading a message and when deleting messages. These functions
work for other users. So far, this appears to be only affecting one user.
The shared folder is a local ext4 file system and utilizes acls

segfault with shared namespace version > 2.1.16
We're currently running 2.1.16. I've been wanting to update to a 2.2.X
version, but have been running into problems, even with the latest
(2.2.12). I'm not sure at what version this issue appeared, but I
believe I've tried 2.2.10, 2.2.11, and now 2.2.12.
We have a shared maildir setup. With that configuration in place and
with a user in the dovecot-acl file, I can do the

question about rpc quota reporting 1.2.11
Timo, thank you for the reply to my question about shared folders yesterday.
I'm now trying to get quota reporting working consistently. This is
with dovecot 1.2.11 in solaris 10 sparc. We have local quotas for the
mail spool (/a1) and quotas for home directories. All are UFS and have
rpc (rquota) working fine.
With just this:
protocol imap {
mail_plugins = quota imap_quota

last desperate plea for help with NetWkstaUserLogon
I posted a message about a week ago concerning my ongoing battles
with NetWkstaUserLogon (aka networkstation user login). I would
be very grateful for answers to ANY of my questions...
We have 1.9.18p4 on Solaris 2.6. We are doing pass-through authentication
(security=server, password server = <NT PDC>).
It will allow administrators to login, map drives, etc. etc.
However, non
