iterate_query with static userdb ?
Hi, Going by the "static userdb" example? on this page (https://wiki.dovecot.org/VirtualUsers#homedirs), tried to achieve a similar setup in conjunction with pgsql for passdb. However I get an error "auth: Warning: sql: Ignoring changed iterate_query in /etc/dovecot/local_sql_users.conf, because userdb sql not used. (If this is intentional, set userdb_warning_disable=yes)"

Struggling to get dovecot working with postfix auth
Hi, I am trying to create an authenticated relay server using Postfix and Dovecot. However I am having two problems : (a) If I create a dovecot config entry as follows : unix_listener /var/spool/postfix-authrelay/private/dovecot-auth { group = postfix mode = 0666 user = postfix } Dovecot is unable to create the socket ? I thought surely if dovecot is started as root it should

Firewall will definatelyincrease jittersinyourvoice conversation
Typically a "hardware" firewall is specialized and uses ASICs. Because the solution utilizes specialized chips tailored to the task, this is considered a hardware based solution. Of course software is involved but it too is specialized and is even proprietary in nature. A "software" firewall, be it BlackICE or even a Linux on PC uses no specialized hardware. Thus the

Firewall will definately increase jitters in your voice conversation
Hi, If you will put firewall, then i think you will get high latency and consequently you will hear voice jitter in your conversation. so avoid putting firewall. Firewall will definatelyincreasejitters inyourvoice conversation
Do you mean this occurs when traffic is passed over an IPSec tunnel or that it occurs anytime a tunnel is use on a machine that also is passing VoIP traffic (outside the tunnel)? I assume you must mean over the tunnel but I am curious... Granting SSH access to a Ruby on Rails user
I installed Rails and Rubygems on a web server for a customer who wants to install a Ruby on Rails application that he developped. He needs SSH access to interact with Ruby, so I''ll have to grant him access, but I want him to only play around in his /home directory, as this server also hosts other customers. How could I do that? Thanks, -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

how to remove rows in which 2 or more observations are smaller than a given threshold?
Hello The data set I am examining has 7425 observations (rows with unique identifiers) and 46 samples(columns). I have been trying to generate a dataset that filters out observations that are "negligible" The definition of "negligible" is absolute value less or equal to 1.58. The rule that I would like to adopt to create a new data is: drop rows in which 2 or more

make_file() could ignore ENODEV errors (from afs filesystem)
Hi, Would it be acceptable to patch make_file() in flist.c to ignore any ENODEV's and not mark them as io_error=1? In afs, a mountpoint to a volume which does not exist gives an ENODEV. As such, it can't be copied, so should (or could) just be ignored? The io_error isn't terminal, but it does disable the delete function and you end up with an exit code of 23. regards |<evin

manipulating axis labels in grid and lattice
I am trying to use wireframe at the moment and the axis labels are overlapping with the tick labels. It seems that gpar does not yet utilize the mgp argument. Is there anyway to manipulate the position of the axis labels? The best I can manage so far is to manipulate the cex so as to shrink everything down. thanks, Carlo Maley -- Dr. Carlo C. exit code 23 - inappropriate error for copying symlinks?
Hi, I've just created a small directory as an example, it holds a file and two symlinks that don't point to anything, and another symlink going nowhere in a subdirectory. rsync (2.5.5) is happy to copy these but produces an error. I can't see why it considers this an error? It's not even aborting after it first encounters this 'error'. $ ls -lR /var/tmp/rsync.test

I'm using dovecot version 2.3.2.1 (0719df592) and trying to use the ARGON2ID crypt scheme for authentication using the passdb passwd-file driver. My passdb config is very simple: ??? passdb { ????? driver = passwd-file ????? args = username_format=%u <path-to-file-here> ??? } If I generate a password this way: ??? doveadm pw -s ARGON2ID -p 'This is a test' I get a crypt

generating secure ARGON2ID passwords
Hello, I'm using dovecot 2.3.4.1 on a Debian buster system. with Argon2ID password scheme, it's only possible to configure the parameters used for it via the generic -r option to "doveadm pw". A higher -r will increase time and memory comsumption. But on my dual core VM it always uses p=1. So it seems the needed threads can only be changed on compile time? Will there be in

Can't authenticate using ARGON2ID crypt scheme from doveadm pw w/rounds != default
The reason it fails is because auth process runs out of memory and there is a bug in libsodium which causes it to crash in this scenario. The fix is to do service auth { ? vsz_limit = 0 # or 2G at least } Aki On 26.09.2018 09:12, Keith Amidon wrote: > I'm using dovecot version 2.3.2.1 (0719df592) and trying to use the > ARGON2ID crypt scheme for authentication using the passdb
