ruby193 SCL and mod_passenger
? I'm interested in ruby and I try the ruby193 SCL and I want to run Ruby on Rails with Apache, so I'm searching mod_passenger for this ruby SCL version, but I found, that this package is not in this SCL. Are any other possibilities to run Ruby on Rails with Apache or why is mod_passenger not in this SCL? ? Thanks, Filip Bartmann

Login auth strip domain from username
Hi, I have just discovered that the IMAP account setup wizard in outlook 2019 assumes that the email address for a user is the same as their username, and there is no easy way to separately enter different user. (It can be done via hidden dialog boxes, command line switches and registry hacking, but it is far from easy [1]) Like many small setups, the dovecot accounts on my mail server map

Virus scan + removal on a mdbox mail storage
Hi, I need advice on how virus scan and removal can be done on a _mdbox_ mail storage? On a maildir storage the virus scanner (e.g. clamav etc.) can detect and remove a email that is infected, since every email and attachment are stored in separate files. But in mdbox the emails and attachments are compressed together in one ore more mdbox-files ... I am anxious to convert my mail

How to serve a subset of IMAP folders for hand held devices.
Hello I am currently running dovecot 1.2.15 on my home server. I have over 200 folders in personal email account, and I have found that my smart-phone does not work well trying to display that many folders. I solved the problem by creating a second instance of dovecot running on a non standard port, and configured it to serve only a subset my email folders, so that way the email client on my

It's possible to do a codecs translation during a call in Asterisk?
Hi everyone, We are using the IAXy boxes and Asterisk over the internet and I was wondering if Asterisk can do a codec translation during a call in order to lower the bandwidth that the comunications consumes? I mean, the IAXy boxes only support the ADPCM and uLAW codecs, but for a certain number of calls our bandwidth runs out, then I think if Asterisk can convert the signal that comes in ADPCM

Default compression level for -compress-debug-info=zlib?
Hi Rui, What's the intended advantage for compressing the debug sections? - (i) Improved link time through smaller IO / (ii) Improved Load / startup time for the debugger / (iii) Smaller exe with debug info for distribution / disk space? For i) and ii) how much this is worth it depends on balance of storage bandwidth to compression (i) / decompression (ii) bandwidth. For spinning drives it

problem with cdr_odbc
Hi, Has anyone made a successfull instalation of cdr_odbc?? I've install unixODBC-2.2.8 (made my own RPM) and then built the module. I'm trying to send the cdrs to a M$ SQL server. The sql connection works because I can do any query via isql. When I do the calls I get the following output on the asterisk console: -- Executing Hangup("SIP/test1-a5e1", "") in new

Default compression level for -compress-debug-info=zlib?
Also not an expert, but would it make sense for this to be configurable at a fine-grained level, perhaps with another option, or an extension to the compress-debug-sections switch interface? That way users who care about the finer details can configure it themselves. And we should pick sensible options for the default.
