Set up shared mailboxes for secretary-boss-relationship
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, some users are to read other users mailboxes (secretary-boss relationship), in order to filter out minor issues, SPAM, appointment requests etc. pp. The "boss" wants to see/access his/her mailbox the usual way, no fancy stuff. Furthermore, this is a N:N relationship, meaning one user needs to read one set of user's

[jamie@audible.transient.net: Bug#160155: gapless playback]
Jamie, I hear what you're saying. I don't believe this *should* be a plugin's responsibility, though it sounds like with XMMS it is. But I don't know how to fix it. Probably with enough archaeology into the XMMS source and other plugins I could find out. I'll file it in the feature requests and hope someone can get to it. Josh --- Matt Zimmerman <mdz@debian.org>

Want to use a remotely location POTS phone
I have 2 locations connection via high speed internet. At location B, I have a regular old phone line I want to be able to use seemlessly from location A. What would be required to do this both software and hardware wise? I (think I) understand a SIP adapter at location A, and a server running * at location B, but what type of hardware will let me connect the POTS line to the * server?

Administrative mailbox deletions
I'm in the process of nuking a bunch of dead mailboxes after they've been migrated to other servers - but the accounts have been kept. A simple shell script takes care of most of it, BUT.... (there's always a "but" isn't there?) One user has named all his mailboxes with leading hyphens. ie: -foo -bar -bazz and "doveadm mailbox delete" doesn't like it.

Wine Gecko 0.9.0
The announcement of Wine 1.1.12 mentions a new version of Wine Gecko, version 0.9.0. I have two questions: 1. What version of Gecko is this based on? Will this improve the way installed apps render pages? 2. How will this affect existing programs that have Wine Gecko 0.1.0 in their Wine environment? I have the old cab file in /usr/share/wine/gecko which gets installed whenever I wineboot. Will

ISO Website-embedded Ogg player
Since Flash has MP3 support built in, it is possible to create a Flash movie that will play a streaming MP3 file. This is useful for when someone wants to have a radio broadcast using MP3 files and they want to create a flash "applet" for playing the broadcast, which could keep the viewer/listener still attached to the website to enjoy other content at the same time. Perhaps such a

File Corruption in NT workstation but not Win95
Hi again folks... Just when I thought I had everything working great with samba mounts on an AIX 4.3 machine (after a lot of testing with a Win95 box), I went to do something quickly on a NT 4.0 workstation. I had some intallation programs in the shared directory that I had used to install programs on the Win95. No problem. I ran over to my boss' NT 4.0 workstation, opened the shared

Am I nuts to attempt a VFS local cache module?
Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask this question. I'm thinking of writing a module that intercepts Samba requests to keep only a subset of a file store on a local server with the rest being stored on a cloud.  It would be an open source module similar to these products: https://aws.amazon.com/storagegateway/

users's mailboxes = mbox , shared mailboxes = maildir ... is it possible ?
Hello I solved my previous SSL problem by reinstalling dovecot2 ... :-) at FreeBSD 8.1 Now I'm using dovecot 2 , cool ... Actually my production mail server runs with MBOX format but reading the dovecot 2 wiki I read shared mailboxes are only working well with Maildir format. As I would like to setup some shared mailboxes, is it possible to have MBOX format for normal users ( UNIX NIS

Shared mailboxes ACL's in MySQL, mailboxes in LDAP
Hi Guys, I'm having a situation that I want to autocreate my mailboxes using ldap auth as my mailboxes are in there. But as I need to share some mailboxes as shared folder is it possible to have that information in MySQL ? Maybe it even better to put everything in MySQL but designwise it's actually not. I f someone has an example how to accomplish this as I'm reading about ACL's

Asterisk home on VMWare time sync issues
Hello - I am using AH on VMWARE. I have noticed that the date and time periodically loses sync with the server system time. Does anyone know why this would be, or where if I need to change a setting somewhere so it keeps time properly? Thanks! Alan. --------------------------------- Want to be your own boss? [LLVMdev] Building LLVM as a shared library using Visual C++ 2010?
It seems to be that LLVM doesn't make sense as a shared library. The surface area of the interface is massive, and in constant flux. I would think in real world situations, a domain specific interface with a more focused public interface would the right solution. AMD Machine Detect
Hi - I have been developing an auto-dialling application similar to Voiceshot, Call-em-all etc. The one thing I am now struggling to get working is the ability to leave a message on an answering machine or cell phone voicemail. I am using app_amd.c and while it works well for some phones it is proving to be very difficult tweaking the settings to get it to work reliable enough to go to
