sieve question
* mj: > Our autoreply message reads: "Your email has not been read nor > forwarded", which is also the case, forcing the sender to take action. No, it does not. An auto-reply message, even if it is actually read by the sender, can be ignored without penalty. An MTA rejection puts the ball into the sender's court because the message has never been accepted by the

[Sieve] Multiple email recipients, how?
Hi, First, I am very new to using Pigeonhole/Sieve with Dovecot and I am struggling with a problem which could be easy to solve but is just a lack of understanding on my end... We use a simple system for routing emails to different email users by postfixing the addresses with the actual user: xxxJohn at domain; yyyJohn at domain etc all will be delivered to user John. (This way John can

sieve script not executed?
Hello. I'm trying to set up a vacation autoresponder but up to now, no success. I'm using dovecot managedsieve to set up the new filter and to my understanding it works correctly and it creates in the user's home the link .dovecot.sieve that points to sieve/managesieve.sieve ~$ cat .dovecot.sieve require ["date","relational","vacation"]; #

Duplicate e-mail with Dovecot and Sieve
Hi, I think that the test "if not duplicate" could not work for our case, as the out of office should answer everytime, we only wants the redirect to not be sent as a duplicate for the users of the alias LIST. In other words we would like: 1) To redirect the e-mail directed to a single user (with out of office active) to LIST at domain.tld, so that every user of the LIST receives

question on password server =
Hi, I would like to ask how exactly the "password server =" smb.conf option works. The man pages say that the option is to "restrict Samba to to do all its username/password validation using a specific remote server" I know that we should normally leave it empty, to have samba auto-discover the DCs. But my question is: Suppose it's defined it like: > password

It's very difficult at least. I can't instantly think any sensible way forward, but you might be able to get somewhere using %a variable. Sieve vacation reply problem (Dovecot+Sieve/Sendmail/Horde)
Hello Dovecot community, I have an annoying problem with successfully activating Sieve vacation replies - on which I have been working hard the last days without success :( I'm using Dovecot 2.2 + Sendmail + Sieve connected with Horde web-mailer IMP H3 which is generally working fine. BUT: Whenever I activate vacation script in Horde (via Ingo) and send a test-mail to this account, the mail

two listeners with different "driver = " configs
Hi, I would like to have two seperate imap listeners, with different authentication settings, but the mailstore and userbase etc will be identical. I know I can do this: > service imap-login { > inet_listener imap { > port = 143 > } > inet_listener imap2 { > port = 144 > } > } But I'm unsure how to configure imap/143 with "driver =

sieve-test ignores precedence and other for vacation
Hello, I'm using pigeonhole-0.2.3, it works fine. I tried to verify some build in checks of vacation concerning precedence or auto-submitted header lines. It looks like sieve-test ignores header lines like Auto-Submitted: auto-submitted Precedence: bulk Return-Path: MAILER-DAEMON at ... if I have a vacation script like require ["vacation", "regex",

sieve & vacation - ignores "days" parameter
Hi, I am going further with dovecot configuration. Finally managed to configure roundcube 0.3 with managesieve plugin. And it works, although... not perfectly :( For some issues probably roundcube-managesieve is guilty, but simply the sieve plugins seems to work wrong. Here is my sieve file: require ["vacation","fileinto"]; # rule:[wakacje] if anyof (true) {

Filtering with Public Namespaces and Sieve Plugin
Hi, after upgrading to Dovecot 1.2x including the rewritten Sieve plugin replacing 'cmusieve', messages which have formerly been filed to a "Public/Mailing-List" maildir are no longer filtered correctly. The sieve script itself is included in the user's personal-script. The messages are dropped to the INBOX rather than the "Public Namespace Maildir". Log's

UTF-8 in dovecot-sieve ?
Hi, Reading http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3028#section-2.7.2 I thought that out-of-the-box dovecot can filter messages by matching header in UTF-8. But when I tested it, it failed : (I'm using 1.0.5 with sieve plugin) Here is my .dovecot.sieve file : ---------- require ["fileinto", "imapflags"]; if allof(header :contains "subject" "filtre") {

multiple dns forwarders
Hi, To make our AD more robust, I'd like to provide more than one dns forwarder, like for example: dns forwarder = 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 However, this seems to break dns resolution completely (and without logging errors in the logs!): # Host test.com not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) With only one forwarder things work: $ test.com has address 208.64.121.161 Am I really allowed to specify only one
