doveadm backup doesn't transfer mail from root INBOX
Hi, I'm trying to migrate IMAP mails from dovecot 1.1.20apple0.5 (osx) to dovecot 2.2.33.2 (ubuntu). I'm using "doveadm backup" to migrate my data. It works fine for all subfolders, but the root INBOX stay empty on the new server. I suspect a problem related with hierarchy separator ("." on previous server, "/" on new) or with the namespace prefix (set to

Replication oddities - different sizes between replicated nodes
Dear Dovecot community, As discussing on IRC with Aki, I have the following thing happening: I got an alert from my mailservice last night that I was running over quota. My quota reached almost 91% (coming from 30%) in one day. I do not recall receiving so much email (we talk about multiple gb?s additional space usage), so something was acting up. When I logged into my mailservers (I?ll

Replication fatal error
This has been fixed in a later version of Dovecot, so your best course of action is to upgrade to some more recent version. I'd recommend 2.2.36. I am trying to backup a gmail account (not the one I am writing from) to dovecot, using doveadm-backup and imapc, but am having ssl connection problems. ted at expectation:~# doveadm backup -D -R -u ted imapc: dsync(ted): Info: imapc(imap.gmail.com:993): Connected to 74.125.71.108:993 (local 10.7.1.179:53852) dsync(ted): Warning: imapc(imap.gmail.com:993): Server disconnected unexpectedly:

Resource Temporarily Unavailable on replicator-doveadm
We're running 2.2.13 on two servers with replication. Still trying to get my replication tweaked correctly and I?m noticing a bunch of these errors for the same users over and over again: dsync-server(user at host.com): Error: write(/var/run/dovecot/replicator-doveadm) failed: Resource temporarily unavailable The 5-7 that I see all have quite a number of individual mailboxes (20+), I?m

'doveadm replicator remove' only temporary?
Hi folks, Wondering if this is expected behavior; we'd like to be able to pause replication for a particular account on our 2.2.32 active-active cluster, but delivering a message (LMTP) to the account seems to turn replication back on again: (replication on) server1:~# doveadm replicator status rgiles username priority fast sync full sync success sync

dsync crash
Hello, I am getting a persistent seg fault while trying to sync our server to a new location. We are on 2.2.33.2, due for an upgrade but we have used dsync successfully in the past. In fact, we used it to populate this same instance. So I hope this is just a configuration issue. My logs are being filled with these errors:: 2019-07-10T08:29:53-04:00 localhost dovecot: [ID 583609 mail.crit]

Understanding the "doveadm replicator status" output
Where can I get more detailed information about the output of the 'doveadm replicator status' ? man doveadm-replicator isn't enough. For example, Total number of known users = 29409, but the server has only 17667 users. This is confusing. Look: # doveadm user '*' |wc -l 17667 # doveadm replicator status Queued 'sync' requests 0 Queued 'high' requests
