Quota plugin and director
Ciao Simone, why you want each backend to recalc quota only for its managed users and not run "doveadm quota recalc -A" only one time from a backend tha recalc quota for all users? Auth process sometimes stop responding after upgrade
Some more information: the issue has just occurred, again on an instance without the "service_count = 0" configuration directive on pop3-login. I've observed that while the issue is occurring, the director process goes 100% CPU. I've straced the process. It is seemingly looping: ... ... epoll_ctl(13, EPOLL_CTL_ADD, 78, {EPOLLIN|EPOLLPRI|EPOLLERR|EPOLLHUP, {u32=149035320,

Patch needed for debian buster in version 2.2.36.1
Hi all; I've just compiled version 2.2.36.1 on a new debian buster (debian 10) and it seems that this patch https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/ 63a74b9e8e0604486a15a879e7f1a27257322400.patch is needed to make it work. Without the patch, the authentication segfaults. *Simone Lazzaris* *Qcom S.p.A.* simone.lazzaris at qcom.it[1] | www.qcom.it[2] * LinkedIn[3]* | *Facebook*[4] [5]

Plugin hooks in login process
Hi all; I've setup dovecot (2.1.10) in a cluster configuration. We have two servers acting as frontend which authenticates users and proxy them to other two servers which handles the "real" work. Users credentials are on a mysql cluster; we have one master, in which read/write queries are processed, and many replicated slave, which process read-only queries. The frontend

Post-login scripting
Aha. Looks pretty cool, and it's really nice that it supports HTTP. On the other hand if I'm rate limiting the number of messages sent = number of times a client said RCPT TO, I guess it still has to be a postfix policy server? Anyway, thanks for pointing this out, I'm sure I'll use it :-) On 10/21/2017 02:16 PM, Aki Tuomi wrote: > Dovecot auth supports auth_policy_server

Auth process sometimes stop responding after upgrade
Hi all; I've upgraded a ring of dovecot directors from 2.2.15 to 2.2.36. After the upgrade I've got some instability: a few time per day per server, seemly at random, the auth process stop responding and the clients cannot authenticate any more: Sep 6 14:45:51 imap-front13 dovecot: pop3-login: Warning: Auth process not responding, delayed sending initial response (greeting):

Variable expansion in password field
Hi list! I've recently updated a small dovecot cluster from 2.2.29 to 2.3.10. I've found an issue with variable expansion. My user/password database is on a mysql table, with password saved in plain text field. The cluster receives mail via lmpt and users fetch them via imap. On the 2.2.29 version, no issues. After the upgrade, I've found some lines in the log: Apr 14 14:36:05
