Everything works fine for the audio message if the format given in voicemail .conf is any audio format . e.g. in voicemail.conf give the format as format=gsm This case works fine. But if I give the following format in voicemail.conf format=h263|gsm And no video codec is sent from the

AD home drive
Hi Rowland, Initially I deposited the line towards the bottom but then it didn't work. The line wasn't getting enough attention so it decided to creep up a bit :) As suggested in the initial email, the box was a NT4 PDC which had the all the shares. The home drive pointed to /home/%U/samba. Looking at the logs, to me it looks like the default smb.conf template (as suggested by Louis)

sendmail question
Hi all, I have a local user account call "panel" on a machine. When I use the mail command to manually send email to the panel account it over 1 minute until that mail actually deposited in the mail account. What setting is that reduces this time? I changed /etc/sysconfig/sendmail the QUEUE=10s and that did not have any effect. Thanks Jerry

simple steps with sieve
Today is my first day with sieve, so be gentle :) I'm trying to set up a pretty webmail interface to our Dovecot 1.2.4 server using roundcube. The managesieve config + roundcube 'managesieve' plugin work fine, and I'm able to use roundcube's UI to generate .dovecot.sieve files. We use winbind + LDAP lookups to do some exotic mail rewriting... ultimately user.name at domain.com

iterate_query with static userdb ?
Hi, Going by the "static userdb" example? on this page (https://wiki.dovecot.org/VirtualUsers#homedirs), tried to achieve a similar setup in conjunction with pgsql for passdb. However I get an error "auth: Warning: sql: Ignoring changed iterate_query in /etc/dovecot/local_sql_users.conf, because userdb sql not used. (If this is intentional, set userdb_warning_disable=yes)"

Sieve vacation with russian subject
Hello list, I have noticed that sieve vacation action breaks some non-english letters in the subject. I tested with russian language, if subject contains letters from specific diapason russian alphabet, the message received with unreadable subject, but text in the body with the same letters looks ok. Here is example of full subject header, it contains russian alphabet: Subject:

Does the keyword/action discard work by default or is there something I have to do in the configuration to get to work... maybe I missed something on http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve I have the following rule: if anyof ( header :contains ["Subject"] ["Test Discard"] ) { discard; stop; } but it delivers to INBOX with or w/o the "stop;". Dovecot replication, no updates on message deposit
Hi, I am trying to setup dovecot replication based on: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication All mailboxes share the same UNIX userid ('vmail'), and I setup ssh-key based login for this account in both directions. As LDA exim4 is configured to use dovecot deliver LDA. Here is the relevant config from exim: /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -d $local_part -f $sender_address -a

sieve & vacation - ignores "days" parameter
Hi, I am going further with dovecot configuration. Finally managed to configure roundcube 0.3 with managesieve plugin. And it works, although... not perfectly :( For some issues probably roundcube-managesieve is guilty, but simply the sieve plugins seems to work wrong. Here is my sieve file: require ["vacation","fileinto"]; # rule:[wakacje] if anyof (true) {

Current thinking on backups ?
Hi, What are people doing for backups ? My current process is LVM snapshot and backup from that to NFS share. But there seems to be hints around the internet that people use/abuse "doveadm backup" for backup purposes even though it seems its original intention was for transferring mailboxes between dovecot instances. Assuming its ok to "doveadm backup" to an NFS share, is it

Possible pigeonhole dealing with negative numerical values
Using dovecot 2.2.9 and pigeonhole 0.4.2 The system is a Xen VM running Arch Linux x86_64, presently up to date, on an XFS filesystem in an LVM2 partition. After recently updating my mail server, I found that a sieve rule I had which would check X-Spam-Score for a value over a certain number, in my case 2.5. In my most recent update, negative values would trip the rule. Here's the rule in

I believe someone made the Rufus utility for just such an occasion Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way Rufus Create bootable USB drives the easy way Rufus is a utility that
