Unknown setting error with dovecot-sql.conf.ext
OMG, that was it, so sorry to have wasted your time. The text editor I am using (Ultraedit) is adding a BOM (Byte Order Marker) to the beginning of the file. I have disabled this in settings but it keeps doing it. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction. After removing the 3 invisible characters from the dovecot-sql.conf.ext file it magically worked. Andy -----Original

Upgrade 2.2.27 to 2.3.9.2: master(imap): net_connect_unix(imap) failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
Hi, After upgrading Dovecot from version 2.2.27 to 2.3.9.2, we are sporadically seeing lots of these errors in the error log on many of our servers: imap-login: Error: master(imap): net_connect_unix(imap) failed: Resource temporarily unavailable - http://wiki2.dovecot.org/SocketUnavailable The issue is causing significant delays and/or timeouts on login. From what I can tell, this

[Icecast-dev] metadata fallback mounts
Have now set the log to level 4 and viewed the output when the stream stops/starts. Can't see any errors though. I'm getting: source/source_move_clients passing 1 listeners to "/fallback.mp3" on stream stop and: source/source_move_clients passing 1 listeners to "/studio" when the stream starts again, so looks like it's working. Could it be the client at

Mono Output
Hi All, Is it possible to send output in mono using Icecast? Also, would that mean I would only be sending one channel so effectively halving the bandwidth? [EXT] Re: max number of connections per ip
You can usually see from doveadm who or logs if your router/whatever is doing NAT. Which would be the reason why 500 connections wouldn't be enough. Dovecot 2.3.3 Mailbox does not exist
HI, I would deeply aprechiate if someone here could help me address a problem with ACL. I would personally refrain from e-mailing ever so often as I understand other users have more important issues to discuss about. Anyways I hope someone here could help. When I run ;- doveadm acl get -A Public/Archive I keep getting an error that says Mailbox does not exist . See erorr message below : -

Change dovecot hostname
I have noticed that the name of my private server running dovecot appears in email headers rather than the public-friendly name of my server. Is there a method to specify an alternate server name for the dovecot server to use for itself in the dovecot configuration files? I performed a few Google searches and was not able to find the answer to my question. ------- user at server1:~$ dovecot

Replication: Can't unsubscribe from shared mailbox
Hi, I am running two dovecot servers active/active. Everything runs pretty great, except for the replication of subscriptions in a shared namespace. When I unsubscribe from a folder the subscription instantly re-appears. The timestamp on the subscriptions file is updated, but the entry is still in there. If the other node is shut down, everything works as expected, which leads me to believe that

IMAP Folder Mail Separator
Hi, I have a fedora21 install with dovecot-2.2.18, and when creating a new subfolder with thunderbird, the actual folder name is "Folder1^Folder2" with a carat as a separator, instead of creating Folder2 in the Folder1 directory. Is this a thunderbird problem? I don't recall having this problem prior to upgrading to fedora21, so thought maybe it's a dovecot problem. Maybe the

LDAP users issue
Hi Team, I have enabled LDAP authentication with webmail client and it works successfully. But I found an error with LDAP user's mail. Email is not loaded when I log with an LDAP user. Login phase is successful and mail box is the issue. I created a mail user without including LDAP and that user works fine. Issue comes only with LDAP users. *Anushka Bandara* Research Engineer Lanka Software
