External Program for Authentication?
Is it possible to run a bash script for authentication where a 0 exit code indicates success and a non-zero is failure? What I'm trying to do is create a shadow IMAP server that authenticates against a different server. That way my server will use the same passwords as an existing server. So what I would need is for dovecot to pass the username and password to my script, I attempt to log

Health check curl example
I am not understanding how this health check[1] script should work. From the commandline it works fine when I type a PING I get a PONG. But how do I do a curl to this 5001 port? Tried something like this: bash-5.0# curl http://localhost:5001/ curl: (56) Recv failure: Connection reset by peer bash-5.0# curl http://localhost:5001/PING curl: (56) Recv failure: Connection reset by peer [1]

mail_attachment_detection_options not working
Hi, I enabled mail_attachment_detection_options on dovecot 2.2.34, in 10-mail.conf I have: mail_attachment_detection_options = add-flags-on-save but when an email is delivered in mailbox (Maildir) via LMTP no flag (HasNoAttachment or HasAttachment) was added. In dovecot-keywords file I have: 0 $HasNoAttachment 1 NonJunk 2 $HasAttachment so I thinks that the feature was eanbled but is

r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
Possibly off the wall and a long shot, but is pre-installed Linux perhaps 32 bit, while the R attempt is 64? r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
That could do it http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty-backports/libcgmanager0 Seems to be libc related, which is a pretty core library to much of the whole system. Hmm, which model Dell? We just got a Dell 5000 series with Ubuntu, I have not checked with my boss if there was R installation issues. r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
I can make a few suggestions to help you hunt for the issue. This kind of error is often caused by conflicting packages from proposed, backports, ppas, or other 3rd party repos. If for some reason you have a dependency installed from one of those sources that is newer than what R on cran was built against (stock ubuntu 14.04) then you will hit a conflict. Simply removing backports from your repos

Issue running Dovecot in Docker Container
The conf.d files are not included. I have added !include conf.d/*.conf to director.conf and reloaded the dovecot and director services. conf.d/10-logging also has the following lines: log_path = /dovecot.log info_log_path = $log_path debug_log_path = $log_path The /dovecot.log file still shows empty. Nothing is being logged to that file. Thanks & Regards, Naveen On Thu, Dec 26, 2019 at
