Moving messages between servers with different configurations
Hi,
try running this on the NEW dovecot server:
doveadm backup -u uid -R tcp:192.168.10.43:542
to pull the messages from old server.

Moving messages between servers with different configurations
This pulls over the whole test mailbox, but I need it to be stored in a
different mailbox, of course that is now possible to move from the local
test to the local INBOX/test2. But then I might aswell scp the mbox in
the first place.
Should we conclude that it is not possible with a single doveadm command
to move messages from RemoteServerA/usertest/mailboxA/messagesof2017 to

Hi Martin,
I feel a bit like an idiot, but I have been trying with copy, so I do
not lose any message when testing. But I can't get them to copy. I do
indeed have same uid and gid.

Replication is not supported with mbox format. You can only do unidirectional sync out of mbox.

Expuning & Purging doesn't fully remove emails?
But is that not adviced in the manual[1]? I am also in the process of
setting up dovecot behind a haproxy. Still testing with this. I was
wondering why one would choose haproxy and not eg dovecot proxy (with
director)

Preparing for replication: dsync-local(testaccount): Panic: file mbox-lock.c
I am preparing a bit for setting up replication. However when I manually
try to dsync an account, the first time I execute this[1] command it
seems to be ok. The 2nd time I am getting this error[2].
If I add -1 (one way syncing) the error disappears. Does this mean I
will have problems with setting up replication between these two
servers?

Panic: file dsync-mailbox-tree-sync.c: line 576 (node_mailbox_trees_cmp): assertion failed: (ret != 0)
Hi,
Here is a crash that's happening using the latest Dovecot version
(v2.2.27 on CentOS7 x86_64):
We are using replication. Judging by the second server's logs, I believe
this has something to do with the fact that we're using the lazy_expunge
plugin.
Every night after midnight, we purge the lazy_expunge namespace by
running a command similar to following one on the main server

How to connect to a remote server and execute eg a search
Thanks Sami, And I should allow access on the remote server via
login_access_sockets? And the authenticated user via this connection is
then testuser I presume?

Panic: file dsync-brain-mailbox-tree.c: line 448: unreached
Hi all,
To backup our imap folders I've a cronjob running in the night:
/usr/bin/doveadm -o stats_writer_socket_path= backup -R -A -N
tcp:xxx.yyy.zzz:4191
This ran successful when I set it up and didn't look at it anymore.
Recently I noticed errors:
dsync-local(administration)<uO/qHjXS6FteLAAA3i05xw>: Panic: file

Is there a page that explains how to connect to a remote server? What is
the syntax of socket_path?

This makes no sense. inbox=yes namespace means the namespace which
