Yes, well, can you paste your entire dovecot.conf file then? Remember to
redact passwords.

You problem stems from dovecot doing user lookup using
'rock at theglobalvoice.info' which is why it breaks.
So, to fix this, and

Still trying to get past authorization problems
Got all the Postfix errors fixed but maybe one, so I don't think that's
involved in this mix any more.
I had a domain definition problem, got that sorted.
The accounts' logins are correct. I tried several from the shell, and
they let me in.
Here's the minus-n output, not very different from the first time I
posted it:

Still Struggling with Secure Connections
I made a special pair of keys just for Icecast with this command:
$ openssl req -newkey rsa:2048 -new -nodes -x509 -days 3650 -keyout
key.pem -out cert.pem
I combined the two files like this:
$ cat cert.pem key.pem > icecast.pem
I placed icecast.pem in /etc/icecast2 and used 'chown icecast2:icecast
icecast.pem' to change owner to icecast2:icecast.
I also changed its protection to

Mail has quit working
Your IP address is flagged as spam in Real Time Block Lists. Are you
using a dynamic IP address? You may have a mis-configured server that is
allowing spammers to relay through your server. Another possibility is
your system is compromised with a spambot.

conn <- sprintf("driver=Adaptive server
Enterprise;server=PHKSESMD01;database=smd_live;uid=temp_user;password=temp_pass;port=2301")
chan <- odbcDriverConnect(conn)
x <- sqlQuery(chan,sql,as.is=as.is)

Strange Metadata Truncation in 2.43
I recently upgraded from 2.41 to 2.43. I feed my Icecast server with
either a live stream or from EZStream. I am now finding that track
title metadata never exceeds thirty characters. Is this new, or have I
got something wrong in the 2.43 configuration? I am actually using the
same one I used for 2.41, and I don't ever remember seeing anything
in the XML that controls length of metadata

A new era in Radio! Don't miss The Experimental Beat! (fwd)
Hello,
Excuse the blatent self-promotion and certain degree of off-topicness, but
I thought people here might find this of interest.
We just recorded a radio show using Fideliphone (www.fideliphone.com)
which uses CELT. Not sure exactly which version but the most recent
release of Fideliphone was in May so it's probably not the most recent
version. Anyway it performed beautifully!

LDA versus LMTP
Im using Dovecot for LMTP for all my mail users, since this way they are
completely virtual (i.e. dont need to have a local account at all), all
mail gets delivered to Maildirs owned by dovecot. Also LMTP makes it easier
to insert scripts and do any custom processing which presumably is where
Sieve comes in. Its also pretty easy to setup.

Have you done *make distclean* in prior? That should remove all things
dovecot.
