fail2ban setup centos 7 not picking auth fail?
Just to add another alternative while we're discussing the subject, I've got a soft spot for CSF as a replacement for fail2ban, and it has a lot of additional features as well. https://www.configserver.com/cp/csf.html P. Best inode_ratio for maildir++ on ext4
Hi, This might be a silly question: which would be the best inode ratio for a 5 Tb filesystem dedicated to Maildir++ storage? I use ubuntu server, which has a preconfigured setting for mkfs.ext4 called "news" with inode_ratio = 4096, and after formating the fs with that setting and then with the defautl setting I see this difference of space (wasted space, but more inodes): 4328633696

Ms Exchange vs dovecot
I have recently been working/testing with exchange 2016 and started thinking if I should even migrate to this platform. I assume more people here have experience with exchange and this idea. I was wondering if this is possible with a dovecot setup 1. public folder can be implemented with a public mailbox? 2. authorize users via groups access to mailboxes/folders of the public

I use SSHGuard on well ssh (doh!), but supposedly you can use it for postfix and dovecot also. I can tell you it is well supported. I am on Centos 7 using firewalld. ? Original Message ? Asterisk SIP attacks and sshguard
Hello, We had been seeing SIP-guessing attacks on our Asterisk server here. While it wasn't that hard to write a once-a-minute cron job to spank the lusers, that runs once a minute and creates little spikes in the usage and I/O graphs, and is slower to respond than I'd really prefer. I felt that it'd be much cooler to get something more comprehensive put together. We don't use

Proxy GSSAPI + PLAIN authentication
Hi, I try to configure a proxy accepting GSSAPI and PLAIN authentication. When authenticating with Kerberos, Dovecot uses master user and password to authenticate to backends (backends can be Cyrus or Exchange servers too) When authenticating with PLAIN passwords, Dovecot sends user's login and password to the backend. For GSSAPI, I use extrafields : k5principals=principal at REALM proxy=Y
