Using attachment_dir with plugin zlib corrupt mails
Hello: I have found the same problem reported above by Patrick Cernko affecting our system and corrupting our messages. Even worse, Outlook 2016 will no synchronize and the clients cannot see any message, even if there is only one corrupted mail per mailbox. I cannot figure out a feasible workaround for our system, and I can see that in new version 2.38 the bug is not fixed. Will

Using attachment_dir with plugin zlib corrupt mails
Can you test if https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/5068b11e594ad7cc1f7cedf2bd9280520e0e534d.patch <https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/5068b11e594ad7cc1f7cedf2bd9280520e0e534d.patch> fixes it for you? > On 10 Oct 2019, at 11.34, MAREN ZUBIZARRETA via dovecot <dovecot at dovecot.org> wrote: > > Hello: > > I have found the same problem reported above by

replication dropped imap flags
Hi list, I think, I found a bug in the replication setup, that drops (custom) flags like Thunderbird labels. I have set up a simple 2 node setup to reproduce and explain it: Host adove.mpi-klsb.mpg.de and bdove.mpi-klsb.mpg.de (doveconf -n attached) have dovecot-imapd (from repo.dovecot.org) installed on an ext4 filesystem. They only have one account "test" via /etc/dovecot/userdb

replication and .dovecot.lda-dupes
Hi list, this question was already posted a few years ago (https://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2014-November/098585.html). I already asked the original queriest and he told me, that he never got an solution or workaround but it was not important enough for him. When using replication in conjunction with sieve vacations, the .dovecot.lda-dupes file is not synced with the other server. So when

replication and .dovecot.lda-dupes
Hi list, it's been 2 months now since my initial posting (s.b.). I wonder if I could get at least a "still working on it" statement from the devs or something like that? Trouble getting lda to gzip incomming mails (zlib plugin)
Hi! I've followed the guide at http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Zlib to try to make Dovecot gzip incomming mails, but it doesn't seem to work. I've made pop/imap read gzipped files, and this seems to work perfectly, but LDA is still saving incomming mails in plain text. There's not too much information out there regarding the zlib module, so I'm not sure where to start

ok, I did install zstd (zstd command line interface 64-bits v1.4.4, by Yann Collet) reconfigured & compiled dovecot 2.3.10.1 again with option : with-zstd changed the configuration file to : zlib_save = zstd and restarted dovecot - now I have following log file errors : Aug 28 16:17:39 lxc-imap dovecot: imap(rnowotny)<237930><H1kft/CtENRUclcc>: Error: zlib_save: Unknown

zlib plugin aborts without zlib_save
This is in follow-up to https://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2017-December/110443.html I had mail_plugins = "zlib", but zlib_save wasn't set (my mailboxes were not compressed). It seems that when the zlib plugin is enabled, but zlib_save isn't set, the zlib plugin aborts on a regular basis---on a single-user system, I was seeing it about 150 times a day. Panic: file

Dir-merge exclude filter ignored when rsync DEST ends in /.
Hi, I encountered this behavor when switching my excludes from global exclude filter rules to dir-merge rules. If the spezified DEST directory has a trailing dot dir the exclude filter rule "exclude /foobar" inherited from dir-merge is ignored and the file gets deleted. But I'm not quite sure if this behavor is a bug or feature. Test: $ mkdir src $ touch src/object $ echo

IMAP COPY creates invalid index data with zlib and mail_log plugins enabled but zlib_save off
I've noticed that maildir IMAP COPY commands can generate invalid dovecot.index entries when all seven of the following are true: - The zlib plugin is enabled; - The zlib_save/zlib_save_level options are NOT enabled; - The source message being copied is compressed; - The mail_log plugin is logging "copy" events; - The mail_log_fields setting includes at least one message header; -

zlib plugin doesn't add "Z" flag to Maildir filename
I enabled zlib compression, so new mails are saved compressed. Now I want to convert the old mails to gzip with the find and gzip command, but now I don't know which files are already gzip compressed by dovecot. Shouldn't zlib_save itself add Z to the Maildir flags? As suggested in the compress guide on http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Zlib ? -- Tom
