Shared Mailboxes with Multiple Domains
Trying to track down a problem I've been dealing with for a while.
Everything else works fine - the problem is with shared mailboxes.
My present, and desired, prefix for the shared namespace is:
prefix = INBOX/shared/%%d/%%n/
Some mail clients, particularly Thunderbird and Android's AquaMail, have
no problem with this. But other (presumably broken) clients don't show
the shared

Hi
Are you using the latest git version ?
WHich part exactly of your logs relates to "virtual folders do not work"
?

Virtual Mailboxes
My next bonehead maneuver - was more of the first!
location = virtual:/var/mail/%%d/%%n/mdbox/mailboxes/virtual
was adapted from my definition for my shared namespace. Which was
intended to share OTHER users - which is why the '%%' prefixes are used.
Changing to:
location = virtual:/var/mail/%d/%n/mdbox/mailboxes/virtual
Now I can actually view something! But I still have a

Any ideas on what I need to check or should post to help find the
problem?

Yes, latest git version.
The logs show (as I read them) returned results - yet nothing shows in the
client. The logs look the same (with different numbers) when querying
"regular" folders - but results are shown in clients.

Virtual Mailboxes
The first bonehead maneuver seems to be:
location = virtual:/var/mail/%%d/%%n/mdbox/virtual
I'm thinking it should be:
location = virtual:/var/mail/%%d/%%n/mdbox/mailboxes/virtual
But...it didn't seem to make a difference. And if I have the "virtual"
folder tree under a location other than
"/var/mail/domain/user/mdbox/mailboxes" no names appear - so I think I

Mail migration problem
Yeah, I think dovecot was a custom compiled build
Version is 2.2.18
Config:

Namespace overlap
Given an existing default namespace:
namespace inbox {
type = private
separator = /
prefix =
location = sdbox:/var/mail/%d/%n/sdbox
inbox = yes
hidden = no
list = yes
subscriptions = yes
}
And mailboxes like:
INBOX
INBOX/Archives
INBOX/Archives/2018
if I then define a new namespace:
namespace archives {
type = private
separator = /
prefix = Archives/

Virtual Mailboxes
Having some trouble with my first attempt at virtual mailboxes. ?I've enabled the plugin in 10-mail.conf, added a virtual namespace, and created the dovecot-virtual files in the folders.
I see the folder names in the list when I refresh the folders available for subscription - but the folders cannot be subscribed to and I can't view their contents. ?What obvious mistake did I make?

online conversion using replication?
That works for a one-time migration, or perhaps via a cron-job, but what
I want is basically a constant one-way backup and it seems replication
could do it more elegantly & efficiently.

Hello list,
I have a namespace called 'projects' which when clicked in Thunderbird

"The current operation on 'projects' did not succeed. The mail server

user at domain.tld responded: mailbox doesn't exist: projects.projects

The namespace is configure as follows:

Problem with virtual folders
Hi,
I'm trying to activate some virtual folders on a new installed dovecot server.
My plan is to have two virtual folders like "All" and perhaps "Unseen", like Gmail style for the first step.
- All: lists me all messages in the users mailbox
- Unseen: all unseen messages in the users mailbox
I'm using dovecot EE Release:

Replication: Can't unsubscribe from shared mailbox
Hi all,
I hope it's okay to bump this once after four months.
In the meantime we updated to 2.2.26.0 and our problem still persists:
After unsubscribing from a shared mailbox, the subscription instantly re-appears.
A pcap was attached to my original mail, in case it has something to do with dsync:

online conversion using replication?
With a single server - and no intent to have a second server online at
this time - is it possible to use the replication service to keep a
"live" backup? Or otherwise perform a storage format conversion?
I'm presently using sdbox - and considering going back to mdbox though
without SIS.? My intent now is ONLY a 1-way backup, to be kept current,
and no clients will utilize the
