Acl sql dict error, dict crashes
Hi, I configured shared mailboxes and get an error when i use SQL as the acl_shared_dict. It works when i use a file instead. With SQL as the shared_dict, dict crashes. I have enabled sql query logs on the mariadb server, the table user_shares and anyone_shares are queried but there is no insert to the empty tables. The dovecot-acl files are created in the mailbox when i add an acl with

Global ACL configuration problems: mailboxes not visible, set ACLs not honoured
Hi list, I am having trouble getting global ACLs to work correctly. This is, I assume, an issue separate from the one I reported a few days ago [1], where the imap process crashes when creating subfolders of folders with an ACL set. As you can see from my 'dovecot -n' output below I have three namespaces; two private ("Backup" and the default, empty one) and one public

Dovecot v1.2 ACL shared-boxes users in SQL, how to remove entries?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, I noticed that entries added to the ACL dict are not removed, when an user no longer has explicit ACLs to another user, e.g.: [at the beginning no ACLs for "user"] 1 login testuser pwd 2 setacl INBOX user lp 3 deleteacl INBOX user Although "user" has no ACLs of mailfolders of "testuser", the user-testuser

seting acl for master user?
Hello! I'm sorry, but i don't really understand it the way it is written in the wiki, so i'm trying my luck here =) i followed the wiki for creating a master user (the non-sql-version) and i can login as another user via this master user. my dovecot version is 1.2.9 on an ubuntu server 10.4.3 lts. what i don't get is the acl-setting, so that the master-user can access all the

[Configuration question] Shared Folders: sql dict - missing information
Hello Community, I have implemented shared folders/acl using the 'file' driver sucessfully. Now, I want to move the shared folders information to my sql DB where I have moved all user/nets/quota information. I have read carefully the documentation (https://wiki.dovecot.org/SharedMailboxes/Shared), but, as far as I can see, only the $to and $from (+ dummy) are handled in the DB? I

csc policy
Hello you all, we are in the process of upgrading to windows 10 on all our workstations. We see one problem with redirected folders. We redirect Appdata to a network share. [profdata] comment = Profile Data Share path = /srv/profdata csc policy = disable hide files = /?esktop.ini/ntuser.ini/NTUSER.*/?humbs.db/$RECYCLE.BIN/ This worked great (although slow) with

[PATCH 00/12] acl: remove remaining posix acl handlers
Hey everyone, after we finished the introduction of the new posix acl api last cycle we still left the generic POSIX ACL xattr handler around for two reasons. First, because a few filesystems relied on the ->list() method of the generic POSIX ACL xattr handlers in their ->listxattr() inode operation. Second, during inode initalization in inode_init_always() the registered xattr handlers in

Samba-created files with POSIX ACLs gaining execute bit
Hi all, I have a Samba share set up using POSIX ACLs as the permissions backend. I am seeing an issue where files created via the Samba get execute permissions whereas files created via shell do not. Here’s my demonstration using “share2” as the root of my share: [root at samba srv]# ls -l total 0 drwxrwx---+ 2 root root 65 Dec 17 18:40 share2 [root at samba srv]# getfacl share2/ # file:

Hai, The docs shown are a bit old, yes, i suggest start reading these. https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_a_Share_Using_Windows_ACLs https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_a_Share_Using_POSIX_ACLs Look at the smb.conf man and search for acl ( or exec ) Greetz, Louis > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: samba [mailto:samba-bounces at lists.samba.org] Namens

ACLs, shared, public, virtual mailboxes not working
Hello, I'm running Dovecot 2.2.3, and am having issues with my public folders, shared folders, and virtual/ALl folders apparently ACLs are on that list as well. I was debugging an unrelated problem with my smtp server and got the following dovecot debug log output. Below is also a doveconf -n output as well as my shared-folder definition file and my global-acls file. What I'm trying to

Samba-created files with POSIX ACLs gaining execute bit
Hi all, The part that I don’t understand is why the behavior is different when there are ACLs involved. Take the below example: # This share is chmod 777, [share1] path = /srv/share1 # mode is 0777, no ACLs readonly = no create mask = 0660 [share2] path = /srv/share2 # mode is 0770, ACLs readonly = no inherit acts = yes create mask = 0660 share1 acts exactly as expected — I get a 0660

public folder subscriptions sync issue with ldap user/group in dovecot-acl
Hello people, I am having an issue with 'doveadm sync'. I am currently trying to have two dovecots behind an haproxy (works fine). Therefore I configured these two dovecot server (imap-1/imap-2) to sync throught dsync. This works just partly. The sync of the maiboxes is fine, but the sync of the subscriptions file just works partly. It works for private folder subscription, but not
