Setting logging to debug reveals something is happening but the actual
scripts do not run i suppose.

ACL ignored for master users
Hi there!
I can't get ACL working for master users. Login as master user works fine though, and I am able to access any mailbox using the auth_master_user_separator "*", tested e.g. via Python's imaplib:

two unrelated issues, lastlogin, and an out of memory fatal error

I've got a few misc issues that I'm trying to get a handle on.
I'm having what is probably a simple error with last logins. It's not

LMTP Post login script for acl_groups
Hi,
I use a post login script for imap, to fetch acl groups from LDAP. Because Dovecot can only deal with a single value, which must be a comma seperated list of groups, I decided to use a post login script do deal with multi values in LDAP:

submission configuration issues
Hello,
I'm having trouble configuring the submission proxy.
I have configured the submission service as follow:
submission_host = smtp.example.com
submission_relay_host = localhost
submission_relay_port = 8587
submission_relay_rawlog_dir = /var/log/dovecot/
submission_relay_trusted = yes
My main issue is that until I login, dovecot-submission won't connect to the backend and query the

welcome plugin
Hello,
Is anyone using the welcome plugin? I'm trying to utilize it to send a
message when a user first logs in to the system, containing important
information for them to know. The plugin loads, I don't have a
configuration problem, but the message never gets sent.
What can I provide to more easily troubleshoot this?

Authentification fails in dovecot 2.3.0.1
Hi
I've upgraded dovecot from 2.2.22 to 2.3.0.1. Now I can't authenticate
any
longer. My mail client says that the user name and password are rejected
by
dovecot.
I get this line in /var/log/auth.log:

preferred way to move an imap folder
Hello list.
What is the preferred way to move an imap folder. Lets say an User has.
.maildir/.INBOX.Junk
I want to move this imap folder to:
.maildir/.Junk
Can i just use:
mv .maildir/.INBOX.Junk .maildir/.Junk
and be done with that?

FTS delays
It's because you're misunderstanding how the lookup() function works. It gets ALL the search parameters, including the "mailbox inbox". This is intentional, and not a bug. Two reasons being:
1) The FTS plugin in theory could support indexing/searching any kinds of searches, not just regular word searches. So I didn't want to limit it unnecessarily.
