Disable ssl validation for replication?
Hi,
I have two servers (HA configuration) on which I'm attempting to get
replication working over SSL.? They're at two different sites, but
connected via a site-site VPN.
Everything seems to be fine, except that the certificates are not
validating as I'm using IP addresses for the sync, as opposed to the
public hostnames for which the certificates are valid, and so I get the

Howto disable imap listener in dovecot 2.0
Hi,
How do I disable the imap listener in dovecot 2.0-beta-3? I only want to
enable the imaps listener. In previous dovecot versions I could specify:
prototols = imaps
But in dovecot 2.0 this is no longer possible (imap and imaps are now
both enabled with "protocols = imap"). I already made ssl a requirement
with:
ssl = required
This is in the global section.
I commented out the

got a listener on 993
Hello,
Before I get in to my question is ssl on 993 or starttls on 143 better
from a security perspective?
I've noticed that I've got a dovecot listener on port 993, below is my
doveconf -n output I don't have an imaps listener uncommented should I
do so and set it's port to 0? Will that disable the 993 listener?
Thanks.
Dave.

Excellent, thank you again.
The openssl command I have tried (that used to work with Dovecot 2.2)
is:
openssl s_client -connect mail.privustech.com:143
I have also tried
? ? ? ??openssl s_client -connect mail.privustech.com:143 -servername
mail.privustech.com
I've posted?the full output from this to?https://pastebin.com/eUSarQdx

Simultaneous connections (same listener)
Hello !!
I use Icecast (version 2.3.3-1) on Debian GNU/Linux.
The same listener can connect to the Icecast server many times as
desired and maintain such connections active for an indefinite time,
even using the same PC and the same web browser. This can be seen
listening to this radio station (HTML5)

No, submitting on SMTP port 25 would be the wrong step. There's

Hi
I have been using evolution/cyrus/exim for 10 years - until yesterday!
I upgraded to C6.7 and now there is no way I can find of connecting

Listening on multiple ports
Many thanks - it doesn't work for me, however. There must be something
in my configuration somewhere else, perhaps nothing to do with Dovecot,
that prevents this.

Firths bias correction for log-linear models
Dear R-Help List,
I'm trying to implement Firth's (1993) bias correction for log-linear models.
Firth (1993) states that such a correction can be implemented by supplementing
the data with a function of h_i, the diagonals from the hat matrix, but doesn't
provide further details. I can see that for a saturated log-linear model, h_i=1
for all i, hence one just adds 1/2 to each count,
