mailbox encryption
Hello,
Thanks, I think I have it. The message files the u5 and u6 files are
showing up as data, and they sure look encrypted to me.
One thing is there a way to get logging of output of the mail_crypt
module? What I'm wanting to have if possible is a user gets a message,
the logs show message being encrypted, then stored to disk?
Thanks.
Dave.

Decryption method for Maildir messages stored by mail_crypt plugin
I've successfully implemented the mail_crypt plugin on v2.2.27 and it's
working like a champ, but some of our administrative operations require
access to Maildir messages in plaintext.
I've found numerous threads detailing help with mail_crypt setup, but none
of my research has yielded a method of decrypting the stored messages.
Relevant plugin config:

Best mail encryption solution for per-user
Hai,
Do you have advice about Dovecot plugins for mail encryption:
https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/MailCrypt
https://0xacab.org/riseuplabs/trees
I like NaCL based encryption but the MailCrypt plugin is better
because it's maintained by Dovecot developers (is this correct?)
Hard to understand MailCrypt docs so may I ask, may I provide per user
encryption? I don't like global

Convert Maildir to Dbox?
Hello,
I've got a Dovecot 2.3.x setup. Currently it's running Maildir
storage. I'd like to convert that to Dbox specifically Sdbox safely.
I'm also looking to at the same time or shortly thereafter encrypt the
email storage with mail_crypt.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
Dave.

got a listener on 993
Hello,
Before I get in to my question is ssl on 993 or starttls on 143 better
from a security perspective?
I've noticed that I've got a dovecot listener on port 993, below is my
doveconf -n output I don't have an imaps listener uncommented should I
do so and set it's port to 0? Will that disable the 993 listener?
Thanks.
Dave.

Panic: file smtp-client-connection.c: line 1212 (smtp_client_connection_established): assertion failed: (!conn->connect_succeeded)
Hello Aki,
I have this problem just with 2.3.8, my self-compiled 2.3.3 works fine.
I have previously tried to update from 2.3.3 to higher versions
(possibly 2.3.5 or so), but always had this error, which is why I am
always back to 2.3.3.
Configuration is exactly the same.
Here my output from "doveconf -n":

MailCrypt plugin questions
I read the mailcrypt plugin document on the wiki and had couple
questions.
1. If I want per-user encryption am I correct I should configure global
keys with all related settings override in the userdb lookup?
2. If I do not want to encrypt some user accounts, is it enough to omit
the mail_crypt_global_private_key from the userdb lookup? In other word,
mail_plugins still active with
