[mail-crypt-plugin] How to decrypt mailbox?
Hi,
So I am able to encrypt email using the crypt plugin, but when I try to access the email by logging in thru mutt or roundcube the email is still encrypted.
Is the decryption process automatic or do I have to create a custom program with the decrypt.rb code?
Thanks.

[mail-crypt-plugin] How to decrypt mailbox?
How do I enable the mail-crypt-plugin globally? Do I have to place 'mail_plugins = $mail_plugins mail_crypt' inside ever conf.d file where there is a protocol code block? Like for example the protocol lda codeblock in 15-lda.conf and the protocol imap codeblock in 20-imap.conf
I placed 'mail_plugins = $mail_plugins mail_crypt' in 20-lmtp.conf inside the protocol lmtp code block,

[mail-crypt-plugin] Private key location in Folder Key Mode
Hi,
So I am trying to locate the private key in dovecot-attributes but I can't seem to find it. I have went thru the strings in the file with the lib-dcrypt document as a guide but the private key doesn't seem to be in there.
I'm guessing the private key is an internal attribute located here '/private/vendor/vendor.dovecot/pvt' , but according to the mail-attribute.h file

[mail-crypt-plugin] Password Query for Folder Keys questions
So I believe I generated a key successfully with:
'doveadm mailbox cryptokey generate -u user -UR' because I got the output with the check mark and the Public ID string of characters.
However I still can't read the CRYPTED emails when logging in with IMAP.. i'm still getting the following error in the mail log:
Error: read() failed: read(/var/vmail/[domain .

Mail-crypt won't encrypt emails
Hi,
(Reposting as my previous post got zero replies.)
We're running Dovecot 2.2.36 and we need to set up the mail-crypt plugin
to encrypt all incoming and outgoing emails. Outgoing emails seem to get
encrypted fine but the incoming ones don't. We tried everything
including this config:
mail_attribute_dict = file:%h/Maildir/dovecot-attributes
mail_plugins = $mail_plugins mail_crypt

I tried that and got the following:

Folder Public ID
user at host:~$
Then I sent a new email to the mail server, and I

Unable to use encrypted password for imap and pop3
Hi friends,
Following the Workaround tutorial for Jessie
(https://workaround.org/ispmail/jessie ) I've set up six month ago my
first Postfix email server and all works very fine, except for the
ability from the user to encrypt login password.
I can use the encrypted login password with smtp (Postfix), but not
with pop3 and imap (Dovecot).
The certificates are from Letsencrypt.

Authentication problems
Hi there, I'm in a bit of a dilemma and wonder if anyone can help.
Over the weekend I bought a new dedicated server and moved my mail/web over
to it. I'd used the Sarge[1] tutorial at workaround.org for the old server
and as I'd wanted to move to Dovecot for a while I decided to use their
Etch[2] tutorial for the new one. For the most part everything's working
nicely, but I seem

Configuration Error
Hello,
I am a newbie when it comes to Dovecot, and in following this (
http://workaround.org/articles/ispmail-etch/ ) document in setting these
things up, I have run into an error that I am not quite certain what to
do...
I am running Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, and using 1.0.5 for Dovecot. The message I
am getting when I try to 'restart' Dovecot (using '/etc/init.d/dovecot
restart') is:

Decryption method for Maildir messages stored by mail_crypt plugin
I've successfully implemented the mail_crypt plugin on v2.2.27 and it's
working like a champ, but some of our administrative operations require
access to Maildir messages in plaintext.
I've found numerous threads detailing help with mail_crypt setup, but none
of my research has yielded a method of decrypting the stored messages.
Relevant plugin config:

decrypt.rb
Per the Dovecot site here:
https://wiki.dovecot.org/Plugins/MailCrypt
... the "decrypt.rb" ruby script can be used to decrypt a
Dovecot-encrypted message file from the command line.? The script sort
of runs successfully for me, in the sense that it doesn't error out, but
it doesn't show the decrypted message.
I've called it like so:

Sieve Frustrations
I'm soooo close, but this last little thing is eluding me...
I have the following Sieve rule in my global sieve rule:
require ["fileinto"];
# Move spam to spam folder
if header :contains "X-Spam-Flag" "YES" {
fileinto "Junk";
stop;
}
This isn't firing. The .Junk folder exists under the user directories,
but messages that have the
