readonly archive folders using squashfs
For every user at domain.tld I created a user at backup.domain.tld where he could look up deleted messages (archive). I then made user at backup.domain.tld's cur directory a shared directory to user at domain.tld but only with read privileges. So, anytime the user wants to read his old messages, he only needs to read his .archive folder, which is user at backup.domain.tld's cur. No

quota-warning: possible to have size also?
Hello Community, My dovecot setup works fine with quotas and quota-warning. I have a questions though: when running the warning script, the example foundis it possible to pass the *quota size *as argument also? This would be useful with per-user quota. e.g. /some/script xx% username *xxxbytes* (order is not relevant of course) Thank you for your help. Cheers

How to create sent items, drafts and so on
Hi, Yassine, Yes, you are right that these folders are created by MUA which is Outlook 2013. I can see "Inbox, sent items, drafts, deleted" box in the mail client. This is OK. However, I only can take backup "inbox" mail of dovecot side. I mean, the backup can be taken from /Maildir/cur directory. I would like to take backup from "Sent, Draft" boxes which are

Info to upstream centos mirror: file centos/7.0.1406/os/x86_64/LiveOS/squashfs.img IS CORRUPT !
Hello, i've been struggling hard to setup our automated PXE/kickstart system using various local mirrors but it alway hung after partitioning with no further exception. When I encountered squshfs errors on the Console (text based / kickstart installation) I re-synced (rsync) with CERN mirror afterwards with switch.ch mirror and fh-esslingen - But the squashfs image remained corrupt. Memory usage with memdisk vs initrd a squashfs
Question, Some Linux distributions I support show two approaches for pxe booting them. One uses memdisk to boot an ISO file. The other uses pxelinux to boot kernel and initrd a squashfs file. I'm unfamiliar with the impact to memory either approach has. Like, does using memdisk permanently squirrel away a chunk of memory for the ISO file that the OS will be unable to use? Is using initrd to

How to create sent items, drafts and so on
Koshiro, --- Now, I changed Outlook setting of imap and I can see Draft, Trash, Sent and Sent Messages folders and I can see the mail files in there. However, I don't see mail files in the "cur or new" folder where is under .Sent Messages folder. --- Maybe Outlook isn't going to upload all old pre-existing Sent (etc) messages to server just from your setting the right server

sieve vacation to an alias group
@odhiambo : we may later, but currently we are dependent on this email Hi Yassine, This is actually what I have done now, but I want it to be more robust, if this user quits, then I must have someone else in the group with the rule. I have moved the rule from global sieve script to one of group members in his local sieve script, the syntax is the same As for the rule itself if header

[sieve] Restrict redirects to only own domain
Hello list, I'd like to let my colleagues redirect mail automatically (via a sieve filter) to other mailboxes within the same domain, but deny redirects to outside mailboxes (gmail, yahoo etc.) since this is considered bad practice and could lead to blacklisting (forwarding spam for example). If I set sieve_max_redirect to 0 then no redirect is allowed, at all. I wish to let redirects to

How to create sent items, drafts and so on
Hello, I've setup Dovecot and Postfix mailing systems. The protocol is imap. Now, I've realized that there are no "sent items, drafts" boxed under Maildir for each users. I would like to take back up Inbox, sent items, draft boxes. For sent items box, it seems to be stored in outlook client file which is "ost". The configuration parameters and version is as follows.
