doveadm backup + ISO 8859-1 mailbox name
Hi!
I'm trying to migrate a mailbox from an old IMAP server (not Dovecot) to
a new Dovecot server with 'doveadm backup'. The command fails because of
an unexpected character in a mailbox name:
doveadm -o imapc_user=ag at example.org \
-o imapc_password=XXX \
-o imapc_host=old-mailserver.webflow.de \
-o imapc_port=993 \
-o imapc_ssl=imaps \

Proxy + 2x static passdb not working as expected
Hi all,
I'm trying to setup a Dovecot proxy that authenticates the user against
two backend servers. If login server1 fails, server2 should be tried.
The problem: Only the first server seems to be tried, even if the login
fails.
Config snippet:
protocol imap {
passdb {
driver = static
args = proxy=y nopassword=y host=oldserver1.example.com port=993
ssl=y
}

Virtual mailbox plugin, 4 days of struggling
Hello,
I finally got an INBOX to work, but is virtual mailbox plugin only
meant to create a virtual inbox, or should I be able to have an
Allmails virtual folder that is viewable in my imap client? if
~/virtual/ is my location, would I create an Allmails directory in the
virtual/ or virtual/INBOX/Allmails. Im fairly confused on how this is
suppose to work. I was trying to duplicate the gmail-like

"Broken mailbox list" with virtual plugin
Hi,
I'm using the virtual plugin for a virtual inbox (with dovecot 1.2, r8980),
whose dovecot-virtual file looks as follows:
INBOX
INBOX/Lists
INBOX/Bulk
INBOX/MaybeSpam
Folders/TODO
all
Everything seems to work fine, but I get the following error in my logfiles:
IMAP(matthijs): virtual /home/matthijs/Mail/virtual/INBOX: Broken mailbox list

Aiuto
Salve a tutti;

Web Flow and the session method in ActionController
Hi there,
I''m writing a port of Spring Webflow to Ruby on rails and I''ve
encountered quite a lot of difficulty finding how to override the
session[] method which is accessed via any ActionController.
I have my pseudo-code ready to implement, but I can''t find the method
declaration to copy it''s signature.
Also, if anyone wants to collaborate on this particular

dbApply and data.frame
Hallo again
I now succeeded in using dbApply on my data and I can convert it into a
data.frame. But as Peter Dalgaard pointed out I his answer to my earlier
question (Re: [R] list to data frame, 17.07.2003) I get one row and 10000
columns instead of what I want two columns and 10000 rows when I convert
the list that dbApply returns to a Data frame.
The list I want to convert looks like this

Fileinto to a maildir with sieve
Hello,
Is it possible to specify a maildir to a fileinto rule in a sieve file?
A simple:
require "fileinto";
if header :contains "X-Spam-Flag" "YES" {
fileinto ".Junk";
}
does'nt work becaise .Junk is a directoty, not a mailbox... See my
dovecot-deliver log:
Couldn't open mailbox .Junk: Invalid mailbox name

Sieve fileinto a subfolder fails -- more info, possible workaround
After looking at the way Maildir represents subfolders, I changed
the sieve line from
fileinto "Lists/NCCC";
to
fileinto "Lists.NCCC";
and now it files into the NCCC subfolder of Lists as I wanted. I'm
not sure whether this is the expected behavior or just an accident
that plugging that string into the file name happens to result in the right
name.

Dovecot 1.0.15, sieve fileinto subdirectory ?
Hi,
does sieve plugin in 1.0.15 support fileinto subdirectory?
There is a maildir .oss.dovecot and sieve rule:
if envelope :contains "to" "k+dovecot"
{
fileinto "oss.dovecot";
}
But I get LDA error:
Couldn't open mailbox dovecot: Mailbox doesn't exist: dovecot
Any suggestions? Delivery to non-subdirectories is working fine.

sieve fileinto rule (pigeonhole)
Hello,
i discovered that when a sieve rule "fileinto drawer;" tries to deliver
a mail into a non existent drawer, the drawer gets created.
This is neat, but is there also a way to automatically subcribe to the
created folder ?

Sieve fileinto extension and redirect action
Hello,
Is there any way to limit the use of the "redirect" action (local user
only or silent ignore) as provisioned by the RFC in the Pigeonhole
implementation ?
The only way I found for the moment is to completely disable the
fileinto extension which hardly beat the users experience.
"redirect" is forbidden by my organization policy.

Emmanuel.
