doveadm move from one user's mailbox to another user's mailbox?
Is something along the lines: doveadm move -u sourceuser destinationuser:/inbox search_query possible with 2.0.16? I want to move mails from a backup mailbox (which has no valid password assigned) to a "restore" mailbox (which *HAS* a password assigned to it). -- Ralf Hildebrandt Gesch?ftsbereich IT | Abteilung Netzwerk Charit? - Universit?tsmedizin Berlin Campus Benjamin

Doveadm field for message body without attachments
Happy new year to all, what is the message field in doveadm data model representing the body without attachments? Question About Dovadm syntax
Hello All, I just have a quick question about doveadm commands. 1. Is there a command that we can use to count emails for a particular end user? 2. If an end user needed to copy/move emails from one account to another, is there a command? Also, I've searched Google results, numerous Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora forums, Doveadm forums, and read the DoveCot/DoveADM man pages numerous times and

replication and spam removal ("doveadm expunge")
Hello everybody, since now I did no replication and spam is delivered into users folder "spambox" Every night there is a cronjob which deletes spam older than 30 days via something like "find .... -ctime +30 -delete" Now I'm going to set up replication (two way) and I thought that doing "rm" is not a good idea. So I modified the job to something like

Assistance with doveadm backup...
I am having trouble locating examples of how to use doveadm backup. All the examples I see are for sync. I simply want to create a backup to a network volume of the email server's vmail folders. The goal here is to have a reasonably current backup should the main drive on the email server go south. We currently authenticate our users from a mysql database. User?s mailboxes are stored as

Assistance with doveadm backup...
Ok, so for lack of any other information, am I to conclude that the doveadm backup command is broken in 2.0.9? I have been through the wiki for it back and forth and cannot make it work. Yes, I need to upgrade, there is no question, but I won?t do that without a maildir backup. I would prefer to use the built-in dovecot mechanisms for that than something else. doveadm import with subfolder oddity
This has got to be something weird in my config. And the standard disclaimer of '"happy to post doveconf -n, but wanted to see if this is normal first" :) Background: Ubuntu Xenial, running 2.2.36. Mailbox type is mdbox and I've got a period separator in my inbox namespace: namespace { hidden = no inbox = yes list = yes location = mailbox Spam { auto = no
