Problem with fts lucene, on solaris 10
Hi all,
I'm planning to migrate my courier-imap imap server to dovecot, but I'm experiencing a strange issue
with fts-lucene plugin.
Basically, every time I start a search, the log starts to write:
Apr 05 19:30:53 indexer: Error: Indexer worker disconnected, discarding 1 requests for XXXXXX
Apr 05 19:30:53 indexer-worker(XXXXX): Fatal: master: service(indexer-worker): child 809 killed

Building 2.1.rc1 with cluence, but without libstemmer
Hi,
I'm testing out 2.1.rc1, building against clucene 2.3.3.4.
Without libstemmber, the build fails because it attempts to include SnowballAnalyzer.h which is not part of "core" clucene.
Simple patch below to make dovecot 2.1.rc1 build with clucene but without libstemmer (or textcat).
Looking at libstemmer itself, there are multiple versions. The version in clucene is put into

setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Dear R-help,
I am trying to use a package (not from CRAN) which includes two shared
library (.so) files. The maintainer suggests inserting two lines
in /usr/bin/R,
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}:path-to-package/lib
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
This works, but I felt more comfortable putting the first line
in .Renviron or $R_HOME/etc/Renviron.site. However this doesn't seem to
work, and I

EL6 EE package dependencies
I've been trying to upgrade Dovecot-ee package (on EL6/x86_64) from
2.2.15.8-1 to 2.2.16.2-1. It's complaining on these two dependencies:
liblz4.so.1
libtextcat.so.0
These would both seem to be related to plugins, and don't seem to be
required as package dependencies by the RPM from what I can see from the
SRPM.
Anyone know what packages I need to satisfy these dependencies?

It was just brought to my attention that the RPATH configuration isn't
uniform among the libraries produced by the release. Some use
$ORIGIN../lib/ and others have none. Is this by design? It seems like it
might be ideal for all of them to be configured the same way. If that
makes sense I'll create a corresponding feature request.

Please help with Samba on Solaris10
Hi
I'm having lots of problems getting Samba to work on Solaris.
First I tried the version which comes with Solaris10: 3.0.30.
It almost did work, but a user could not _rename_ files.
Next try was with 3.4.0. Unfortunately winbindd tried to _modify_ idmap
entries in my LDAP server to make them be from the UID range defined in smb.conf.
WHY? What's the idea behind it?
Winbindd also

From what I can see all of the libraries without RPATH are runtime
libraries that are used by binaries compiled with Clang. I think they
don't have a dependency on other libraries in that directory, so what
would be the advantage of having RPATH set on them?

Jonas

libc++.so should be a linker script that automatically pulls in
libc++abi (see "Failed to read file header" in your output). And IIRC
libc++abi is only one possible implementation that may be used by
libc++, but I'm no expert here...

Speex DLL wrapper looking.
Dear Sirs,
I'm looking for the DLL version of Speex, to study very quickly the possible
integration of this
interesting voice oriented CODEC into our application.
We develop, mainly, in Delphi. We use C++ only to develop firmware for our
RF transcievers.
I saw on the Speex.org website that there is a Delphi program\porting, but
this dll is missing there.
Can you help me about this? It will

Dear testers,
The final version of 6.0.0 has just been tagged from the branch after
r326550. It has the same contents as -rc3 modulo release notes and one
small x86 fix (r326393).
Please build the final binaries and upload to the sftp.
For those following along: this means llvm-6.0.0 is complete, but it
will take a few days to get all the tarballs ready and published on
the web page. I will

Puma fails when it restarts itself
I''m having an issue with Puma, it fails when it tries to restart itself.
When this happens it kills all the Puma processes, resulting in nginx
delivering a 502 Bad Gateway to our users. I''m able to start, stop &
restart it with my /etc/init.d/puma script (it runs
/usr/local/bin/run-puma), it just has issues when it restarts itself. The
puma.log file doesn''t
