Plugins/MailboxAlias configuration not working when not successive
This is not working because the numbering is not successive. This whole
configuration implementation is of course nothing to be proud of.

# archive folder
mailbox_alias_old = Archive
mailbox_alias_new = Archief
mailbox_alias_old2 = Archive
mailbox_alias_new2 = Archief mappen

Merging existing mailboxes to aliases
I am trying to merge all, existing or not, different mailboxes in one
with the mailbox alias plugin. If I add the following lines, will the
existing mailboxes automatically merge in one mailbox and corresponding
links auto create? If not, do I have to do this manually?
mailbox_alias_new = Spam
mailbox_alias_new2 = Junk E-mail
mailbox_alias_new3 = Sent Items

Mailbox aliases problem
Hi,
i'm trying to implement malbox aliases but it's not fully working as i expected. This is my configuration:
mail_plugins = acl mailbox_alias
plugin {
mailbox_alias_old = INBOX/Odoslane
mailbox_alias_new = INBOX/SentTest
}
That 'INBOX/' must be there because of this (we were moving from Courier IMAP):
namespace inbox {
type = private
prefix = INBOX/
separator = /

Hi,
I see a lot of crashes in my syslog lately. Specifically a sequence of
errors exactly like this (only the timestamp differs).

Merging existing mailboxes to aliases
The alias plugin does not work properly afaik, I have been trying to use
it on a default centos6/7 release. If I remember correctly it messes up
with sub folders. Check mailing list archive.

BUG: cannot move messages to root mailfolder in namespace "There can be only one namespace with inbox=yes"
Hi,
this setting might work. The default namespace "inbox" is managing
INBOX and defines Special-Use folders on the same hierarchic level as
INBOX. There is an extra namespace "4archives" which defines Archive as
a mailbox on the same level as INBOX but stored on a different
location. Set mailbox attribute auto to your liking.
namespace inbox { type = private disabled = no hid

BUG: cannot move messages to root mailfolder in namespace "There can be only one namespace with inbox=yes"
Hi Martin,
Thanks for the reply. I got the error below, but when I changed the
prefix in 4archives to Archive/ I am getting indeed something that is
looking ok, I still have to test with a few clients. Why did you call
the namespace 4archives? Because it would load before inbox? Or does
this not matter at all.

Mailbox Alias
Hello, I have dovecot with Outlook and Roundcube in the employment and with
me the Mailboxaliase does not work.
The folders are still different and each client creates its own. I thought
that the aliases then fell away. Even on a new test system is not.
local.conf:
namespace inbox {
mailbox Sent {
auto = create # or subscribe
special_use = \Sent
}
mailbox Trash {

Shared Mailboxes with Multiple Domains
Trying to track down a problem I've been dealing with for a while.
Everything else works fine - the problem is with shared mailboxes.
My present, and desired, prefix for the shared namespace is:
prefix = INBOX/shared/%%d/%%n/
Some mail clients, particularly Thunderbird and Android's AquaMail, have
no problem with this. But other (presumably broken) clients don't show

Namespace problem? duplicated folders...
And I should have seen that from your first post but output from
"doveconf" is definitive.
