Cannot get sieve script replication to work
Hello, I've set up dsync replication on 2 nodes and mail replication is working flawlessly, however it seems that replicating the sieve scripts won't work. Managesieve and sieve filter in gerneral seems to work on both nodes, however in order to have a synchronized state, I have to log onto both nodes with managesieve and save & activate the script. What's funny about this is

Acl sql dict error, dict crashes
Hi, I configured shared mailboxes and get an error when i use SQL as the acl_shared_dict. It works when i use a file instead. With SQL as the shared_dict, dict crashes. I have enabled sql query logs on the mariadb server, the table user_shares and anyone_shares are queried but there is no insert to the empty tables. The dovecot-acl files are created in the mailbox when i add an acl with

backup to NTFS USB disk
Hello, * I am setting up a backup on a Linux system with Windows XP workstations. The backup goes to three alternating usb drives, each of which is NTFS formatted. The disks should be virtually identical but they do not seem to be. First, my mount command is this (I edited a bit for brevity) mount -t ntfs-3g -o locale=nl_NL.iso-8859-1,silent /dev/disk/by-id/usb-DiskA \ /mnt/tmp || mount -t

several errors with irregular pathnames
I've written a GUI for using rsync on windows machines for third-party use. The project has reached a beta state and is now being tested in live situations. However, during these tests, I've encountered some odd behavior with specific pathnames. For the record: I'm currently using a cygwin distribution which includes rsync 2.6.3 to run rsync on Windows machines. The remote server is

Exchange 2007 and Voicemail with Imap Storage
Hey has anyone gotten Exchange 2007 working with Imap Storage? I know that Exchange 2007 didn't support the usual delegated Imap access until Rollup 4, but it should work now right? I have it working fine with Exchange 2003. When I do DomainName\Username\mailboxalias, I get authentication failures on Exchange 2007 with a username of "Username \mailboxalias". If I try the

Questions about SPECIAL-USE IMAP extension
Aki Tuomi writes: >>>>> https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/MailboxAlias > > There is also gotcha that MailboxAlias is not compatible with > mailbox_list_index=yes setting. Thanks. How does this manifests itself: the client gets an inconsistent view of the outgoing mailbox that depends on which mailbox the client is using, or the optimization is broken and dovecot keeps

Mailbox alias plugin and INBOX. folders
Hi, I'm trying to workaround the lack of IMAP folder mapping settings on Windows 10 Mobile in regards to controlling the Sent, Trash etc folder my device uses. Currently, my device creates its own "Sent Items" folder "Deleted Items" folder along with others, this is pain when using clients like Thunderbird which places such them in the correct places, because it can be

Case-sensitive INBOX or client issue?
I am using dovecot as an IMAP server for a Cisco product (Cisco Agent Desktop by Calabrio) and noticed some odd behavior when trying to access emails. The mail is delivered to the main INBOX, then a Cisco server moves it to a directory within the INBOX based on the queue it is meant for. Here is the directory structure of the Maildir: Maildir/INBOX Maildir/INBOX/tmp Maildir/INBOX/63

"merging" folders Sent-Items Sent-Messages Sent
I have a running server and would like to clean up a bit, and merge sent folders and trash folders etc. Is this best done via the mailbox alias plugin like mentioned here? Or is there a better way? I prefer to have one folder listed at the client, and not "Unfortunately it also means that some clients will download the same mails to local cache multiple times."

BUG mailboxaliases plugin not working with subfolders
The mailboxalias plugin is not working when subfolders are created, rendering its use quite useless. It should work of course something like this. (then I would be able eg. to put my archive mailboxes on different storage, by just creating one symlink on archive (get it??;)) If there is a new mailbox created And in its path there is a folder/path configured in aliases plugin Get the original

Problem mapping Samba shares in Windows
Hi, In our company we are currently running a Samba server and Windows XP clients. At the moment we are having problems with mapping Samba shares in Windows. Shares are being mapped through a windows startup script, which executes net use (with the option persistent:no) command. For most users this works most of the time, nevertheless it often fails, the exect reason for this isn't clear

Panic
(I'm not subscribed, please keep me CC'd) Hi, since a few months I'm experiencing repeated dovecot crashes. I mostly see them in the logs, I haven't had any users complain, so I haven't looked closely until now. I was originally using an older version fro mDebian and hoped that a newer future version would already fix this, but I just upgraded to version 1:2.2.32-2 from
