Submission service and SMTP AUTH capability
Hi Everyone!
I've setup dovecot 2.3.2.1 on a Gentoo server. I want to configure the
submission service in order to replace the corresponding part in Postfix
(which is my SMTP server).
I configured submission it with just a few options different of the
default ones:
submission_client_workarounds = whitespace-before-path
submission_relay_host = 127.0.0.1
submission_relay_port = 10026

submission configuration issues
Hello,
I'm having trouble configuring the submission proxy.
I have configured the submission service as follow:
submission_host = smtp.example.com
submission_relay_host = localhost
submission_relay_port = 8587
submission_relay_rawlog_dir = /var/log/dovecot/
submission_relay_trusted = yes
My main issue is that until I login, dovecot-submission won't connect to the backend and query the

dovecot-submission SMTP send error with Thunderbird (BODY=8BITMIME)
Hi,
With latest 2.3 -git (and 2.3.0 release), I'm running into this error
with Thunderbird:
"An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.5.4
Unsupported mail BODY type. Please verify that your email address is
correct in your account settings and try again."
This is fatal and means Thunderbird cannot use the submission service -
fortunately I can revert

No CRLF in Pigeonhole's header?
Hello,
I have been told on Freenode's #dovecot to ask here. I have Exim 4.92
complaining about "Non-CRLF-terminated header, under CHUNKING: message
abandoned" with redirects made by Pigeonhole 0.5.5 (with Dovecot
2.3.5.1). Please find relevant part of the traffic below, and help me
determine whether Exim is correct on this.

Apple mail fails with Submission
Hi,
Below, you have only the submission-login debug log (authentication).
I'm more interested in what happens after that. You'll need to enable
mail_debug=yes (at least for the user involved) to get that.
Regards,
Stephan.

SMTP auth with Sendmail
Dear All,
I have two machines, a Centos 3.4 machine and a Centos 4.1 machine.
I have used the same sendmail.mc file on each, and 3.4 machine does
plain SMTP auth with no problems, compiling the same mc file on the 4.1
machine gives this error:
xxxxx [x.x.x.x] did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA

pipe data from plot(). was: ROCR.plot methods, cross validation averaging
All,
I'm trying again with a slightly more generic version of my first question. I can extract the
plotted values from hist(), boxplot(), and even plot.randomForest(). Observe:
# get some data
dat <- rnorm(100)
# grab histogram data
hdat <- hist(dat)
hdat #provides details of the hist output
#grab boxplot data
bdat <- boxplot(dat)
bdat #provides details of the boxplot
