dovecot (2.2.13) panic on imap-login from iphone se
Hi to all, we have trouble with one user account, when using imap-login with iphone se. The user can login and use the account from webmail (roundcube) and from thunderbird without any errors and without any restrictions. But if we use the account on an iphone se and try to use imap based emails, there comes the following error (look at the end of the mail). I have no idea, what for an error it

managesieve / sieve - append dot prefix on moving mails into folder
Hallo! If you didn't define a separator it's default is "." . So you would need to change "INBOX/Monitoring" to "INBOX.Monitoring" to be accepted. And 10-mail.conf needs a "prefix=INBOX." --note the dot as a separator at the end. Hope this helps Martin On Tue, 2020-02-18 at 12:40 +0100, Andre Hoepner - i.based: Systemhaus GmbH + Co. KG wrote:

Hello mailinglist-subscribers, i have an issue with the managesieve / sieve plugin in dovecot. We use roundcube as webmailer and if i define a new filter to move incoming mails directly into a subfolder i get the following sieve-code: require ["fileinto","imap4flags"]; # rule:[mail into folder] if allof (header :contains "from" "sender at domain.org") {

Samba 4 & W2k8_R2 - No automatic DNS Updates
What works: - Samba4 Server migrated from Samba3 data. - adding a 2008_R2 DC. - Replication sofar as I could monitor. - internal DNS Server on Samba. What fails: Automatic DNS Updates are not working, althought "allow dns updates = true" in smb.conf is set - which seems to enable secure AND unsecure updates. Manual adding an Record works on both machines, and it gets replicated on

Tell Samba, it should not allocate disk memory before copying file
Hello everybody, i am running samba 3.0.23c and i have a little problem when writing a file to a share. When i connect to my samba server, all the shares are shown correctly. Then i choose the one (my usbstick) where i would like to copy some files to. My client is a windows XP client and what happens is, that samba first creates the file and all the needed memory on the usbstick, before it

Samba performance on FreeBSD
Dear Samba team & other readers, I'm a satisfied user using Samba as a file server for Windows based networks and I'm primarily using FreeBSD for this purpose. When I started to use Samba about half a year ago, I was upset about the lousy performance but tried my best to search for that problem at myself. The machine at this time as a Pentium/200 PC with some SCSI harddisks and 64

Feature request: 'dovecot-shared' files to be configurable
Hi list, using dovecot in a more complex environment nearly always requires use of ACLs and shared mailboxes/folders. Now, to make life more easy for the users, we can use 'dovecot-shared' files to eable per-user \seen-flagging. Is it possible to make this issue configurable in the dovecot config, something like "always keep a 'dovecot-shared' file in users maildir, even if
